This is the first thing press/investors usually see and it happens a long time before the game is even talked about. There is a long ramp-up time when teams start working with new tooling and engines, "all that work" is literally practical experience for most people on the development team. It is by no means what so ever final build, Even suggesting at this stage that anything shown so far is "final build" is fucking insane. Like literally you're an idiot.

Let me sound like an elitist again,but if people cant even bother to look up what the game is all about,then fuck them,we dont need them.If people will just follow the herd and say that this game isnt worth it by just looking at a few pre-alpha videos,we dont need them either. The OP is right, I don't take seriously any of the opinions of people in random gaming websites, they most likely just want to hype the games they like and talk shit about everything else, but the general opinion about EC is that the game is a cash grab p2w and is mostly the devs fault for calling the pre order founders program and showing a overpriced storebefore there is any footage showing how the game will look like at release.

Some people really have serious trouble with the terms "alpha" and "beta"^^ They show WIP-Stuff. And that doesn't happen usually. I can't remember any video of a game of this popularity that has shown footage with placeholders and stuff...and this reason is going to make the_dtox going to lose his left nut ^^

I'd never thought that I of all people would ever say that, but could you guys watch your tone, please? Categorically labelling all people whose opinion differs from yours, even if you have more than sufficient proof to believe that your opinion is the right one, as "assholes" and "idiots" does the community and the game just about as good as the people claiming that the game is going to bomb because the game is going to bomb. The last thing I want to see is the EC community turning into a second Bioware forums where Moderators and regular posters alike spend their time circlejerking each other and every dissenting opinion is either flatly ignored or buried under walls of more than often off-topic text.
