It makes a difference to me, because if we keep our characters, then I'll be playing an Ork straight away and investing time and effort into it. If there will be a character wipe then I'll probably create one of every faction except Orkz so I can get used to the play styles of enemy factions and how their skill trees and weapons work so as to make more informed choices with my Ork when the game goes live.
i think a Progression wipe for all chars is the only logic choice would be unfair if we founders would be half day through the profession tree while all others are just learning how to not shot their own knees
There is a noticeable trend in game launches where characters are carried from beta into release. That is the balance is completely awful because of the head start. This is also why I dislike early access for these types of games. I'd like to see perhaps a downscaled version of the map (Say 10% of it) that we can fight over rather than any of the instance options.
That's fair enough, but to be honest it's no real difference between starting when the servers go live and a group of players buy the game a couple of months later, if the game is successful there will always be experienced players and new players coming in. I've got no objection to a progression wipe (XP, skills, equipment reset) so long as I get to keep name and character design/looks as this also gives you a chance to correct any mistakes you've made during progression, the question was more aimed at if or not there will be a character wipe as a lot of game simply wipe all characters from the server and you have to re-create (which is something I'm never happy with).
EVERYTHING. But out of the given choices, PvP arenas have the highest priority, as they'll be the best way to see basic game mechanics and where they do work - or don't.
I believe a PVP battle with freedom to choose any class and build would be nice, maybe you can choose between defending a fortress and attacking one.. Just so that way you get to try out all the races before hand. I would also make it so you can not keep items and levels you earn ..i know that most of the time when companies do early releases you do but, i dont like that.
This I consider a minimum version, so that at least we could get the hang of some weapons but I'm not going to lie I'm counting for some MOAR .
Me too , I would love a mini nid Dungeon to plunder until its more playable. I would sooner wait to play the PVP when its in a more finished state rather than playing that too soon and spoiling the experience
