and this boyz is why i currently have EC uninstalled. i really dont think the devs have much of a clue at this point, you dont add a bunch of new content when very basic mechanics are broken. Sadly that isnt even the problem, they wont even fix at the rate they pump out new content! If you have a pile of shit and you add new feature polish guess what happens? you just polished a turd, congrats on your achievement.
They fixed super stikkbombs and it's a gamechanger for us, now we have balanced AV weapons, now rokkit launcha + superstikkbomb = melta + meltabomb and it's a huge plus for all ork players.
On what planet is the rokkit equal to a melta?! The melta will kill your trukk in the time it takes to fire 2 rockets.
No, currently, it won't, besides, rokkit launcha allows you to instakill enemies, even 2-4 at once if they are close enough to each other. so, i think, it's fair now. In addition, you always can escape those meltaboys, regenerate armor and get back to fight.
It's safer isn't it? the rokkit launcher doesn't need you to go point blank with a tank and doesn't expose you to roadkills when attacking the rear, in addition it has nice 1 shot AI capabilities and is a "heavy" weapon on a light weight non heavy capper with a pistol still available right? (at least I think you do). I'm not saying the rokkit is flat out better but you guys really need to give it credit for what it is.
Well because the projectiles arc off in random directions upon firing you do need to be pretty close to hit your target yea. Even if it is a vehicle. So no it doesn't really offer much more protection. AI wise I'm certain it kills more orks than any enemies. The amount of time it takes to charge leaves you open to all manner of attacks, most annoying of which is a headshot that will completely Fuck your aim, it has the world's tiniest blast area so anything but a near direct hit will whiff and do nothing, oh and any player worth their salt will roll and take the blast on their iframes upon seeing you firing. It has an incredible ammo capacity of one, so you must reload in between every shot which when combined with the charge makes the weapon near useless in an extended fight. Did I mention the projectiles fly off in random directions?
Sorry, but i must disagree with you Gazrick. Yes, rokkit launcha users kill their teammates sometimes, but if they're good, they kill enemies much more than teammates. Rokkit launcha is bane of apothecaries/sorcerers spam, for example. It annihilates those ignorant jpa rmb spam boys, who think that they are invincible with their shiny power swords. Yes, it's inaccurate weapon, yes there is about 30% chance that your shot would miss the target, yes you should be predictive about where to choot and when to charge the rokkit. BUT. If it connects, they DIE instantly. INSTANTLY! It's so satisfying to watch dem 'umies flying all around the point they trying to cap or protect, that i can't even descrie my feelings. Honestly, for me rokkit launcha is the only thing that kept me in this game. Every time when i blow the crap out of SM/CSM with rokkitz, makes me happy.
It's all good, you're entitled to your opinion and I'm sure there are others who are much more successful than I with the Rokkit. I get the same joy from picking up a downed enemy and snapping their neck with my Klaw as I execute them, so I get where you're coming from re the Rokkit making oomies fly all over the shop It is a joy to watch.
