Farull scratched his stomach as he walked his gnoblars riding on his shoulder. "Hope we find 'em soon I wants a fight."
Since he haddent possessed the leather nor time to sow together a back holster for his new axe, Thorkild was *forced* to simply walk with it in hand, not that he really minded, it was good to carry a larger weapon once again. As the almost unnatural snowstorm continued, this was more snow than would fall on Norsca, the icequeen must be in a particularly foul mood. In the end they got to the coast, and was then because of the absentmindedness of the ogres sent tumbling through a small avalance, Thorkild had grapped his weapon tight while also making sure not to get hurt on it himself, and when it ended he got out the snow as they now stood on the snowy beach.
Of course, a masterful warrior like Sneek would have been able to leap back from the avalanche had he not been busy fiddling with the map as he rode on Argot's shoulder, but alas, the fates had conspired against him that day, when the 'cliff' broke and they came tumbling down. All the way dow nhe squeaked for his life, fighting with all four paws and his tail not to lose his hat or the map. Sneek couldn't really believe that neither ogre had fallen atop him, but he wasn't one to complain about not dying. Instead, he shook himself to get rid of the snow, and looked at the coast, tentatively digging a bit through the snow to see if this was a real coast.
Well would you look at that? Malik and his enchanted find had become quite useful in the moments following avalanche as with vision extended almost a hundred times greater than anyone else he could make out a less than pleasant sea-side cave, its entrance lined with a gutted ships entrails with a mast speared onto two particularly jagged rocks waving freely in vicious winds, set to simply fly away. So far he couldn't see anyone located between them and this merry looking cavern of doom. "So..everyone alive? " Argot's mouth moved midst all the snow, rest of his face buried and hidden along with most his body which was currently leaving Gunther with one hell of a stomach ache.
"I am..."added casually Malik to Ogre`s question,as he squinted his sight on the narrow, but enhanced vision of his gem. "I think I have eyes on the prize."spoke Malik pointing in the snowstorm."There is a crashed ship there next to that cave. But I don't see anyone...or anything that would look like a murder-machine."spoke Vizier as he helped some of his comrades to their feet or.
"I'm alive as well," Gunther replied as he tried to get up from all this snow. "Excellent work Malik, we searched for a cave and a cave we found. The machines we are looking for are probably inside! By Sigmar, it must be so!"
"Then that a way we go! Lead on!" Reaching around himself Argot erupted from snow pile, picking up both Snik and Sneek after fishing them up from powdery pile. "Farull we gonna have good eats up ahead me bet! Fresh man-flesh good break from usual!" They were called Man-Eaters for a reason after all. Ambling forward with generous swishes of his ample body fat gluttonous paunch-being started off down along the coast in the direction Malik had gestured to them. As everyone else fell into line they resumed their trudge through deep snows. Crunching steps were lost amid howling winds and by this point most of them would no doubt be feeling a mean chill that wasn't helped at all by the nearby frozen waters, now that they were at ground level it seemed most of the shore was frozen out several miles to sea forming an expanse of treacherous platforms that occasionally threw in a grumbling crack amid crying gusts as if some great predator were chomping down on bones or something huge stalked the landscape just beyond their sight. Sense of foreboding grew as they realized this particular cave formation looked suspiciously like a giant stone set of jaws slurping in frozen sea waters and part of the sands with careless ease. At least lady luck was kind in that they crept up to cave entrance without alerting any possible sentries or setting off traps. Though Gunther immediately felt a chill grip his very soul, not brought on by the actual weather but by some dark magics or dreadful thing that should not be existing nearby. Malik could feels the winds of magic had been manipulated here, something was off that much was certain. "So...who want point? " @FlashyGit @Grall_Stonefist @Maleth @High_Adept_Zeth @Colapse @Casavay @Skarboy
"I'll go first," Gunther said as he took hold of his warhammer and placed in a position so he could swing it quickly if needed. "Careful, I sense the presence of something foul here. The powers of Chaos took deep root here and they are twisting the very air we breathe. Do not eat anything for it might corrupt your body and claim your soul. If you hear whispers, report it back to me immediately. And remember, Sigmar will protect you like He did when we fought in front of His chapel. You just need to believe in Him and no darkness can ever take a hold over you."
Prompted by the priest, Sneek sniffed the air, but found everything perfectly fine. More fine than usual, even. Somewhat reminding him of home. His face twisted into the Skaven version of a smile. Staring into the cavern, he doubted that Gunther could actually see down there, but, well, Gunther was well-suited to taking point because Gunther was not Sneek. Even though he thought the cave an improvement over the snow field, he pulled out and held on to his gun, just to be safe. "Wait... who's Sigmar?", he asked loudly, not going to trust some person who owned chapels just because a man-thing said to.
Sakeis was a little worried by Gunther's warning, because if the forces of Chaos were present, this work could go from an easy job to a hard-fought battle for mere survival especially if the Chaos taint that Gunther was warning everyone about was coming from something much worse than mere worshippers or tainted devices..... Either way, the Lizardman stuck close to Gunther, ready to go into the cave straight after the Warrior-Priest in order to provide some back up for the human.
