i no longer play Space Marine anymore. It was great at launch, back when I had a guild to play it with. But now it's just turn into another game where players run around and shot anything that isn't a red or blue player.
Matches still happen, my Chapter has played in over 100, and are quite competitive when the players from active/semi-active groups show up.
I still play it. I have trouble finding matching sometimes because my router is weird. One day I'm playing some good games, the next I have strict NAT settings.
I'm not sure if you've tried it already or not but make sure that UPNP(Universal Plug and Play) is enabled in your router's configuration settings. If that isn't the problem you may want to look into your individual port settings.
At any rate the xDAx are quite active on Xbox 360 Space Marine and would love to see more players. I've tried moving on to the PC but the controls just seem so foreign now.

I play it lots on xbox...but im crap at it, love the game though. i also collect and paint table top, so on xbox i get to run about as a member of my favourate chapter.
