Does anyone actually want a "tank warfare" map?

    How? Eldar vehicles are awful at destroying other vehicles. For them it's all about the characters jumping out of the vehicles!

    uhm the problems is the vehicles is this game really suck....isnt a good experience driving shoot at something too.... and there are the flying vehicles of eldar....without collision walking on the top of the other.....oh and the ramming? ridicolous.

    Vehicle movement, speed, health, armour, weapons, physics, etc. Nothing is ready yet for a big vehicle map and its going to be sloppy and bad and further hurt this game's reputation. They need to focus on what they have now and make it the best lobby shooter we've ever seen rather than keep trying to make these terrible bastardizations of games.

    We have PvE but nobody plays it. Why? Because its horribly slapped together trying to be something like Exterminatus in Space Marine but not even close. Its so poorly done, the animations suck, its boring, the levels are horribly static, and you can't play w/e you want (JPA useless on most maps).

    This dev team just doesn't have a brain at all and no idea what the gamer market wants and what to do with the niche they currently have. This game could be so much more but they continually blow it.

    They could still make it good with the next couple updates but they better damn well fix the core issues with the game and NOT add more crappy content that's buggy, unoptimized, and unbalanced.

    Fix your game first, worry about vehicle maps much, much, MUCH later. The maps we have right now are pretty huge, they just need to let vehicles move around more and have more than just "capture the point". That's what really kills the vehicle play. You have to get out of your vehicle at some point and get on the point. Fix that aspect, and vehicles will play a stronger role.

    Bring in Dreadnoughts already. :|

    Tank combat is the least interesting part of this game for me tbh, and i doubt that will change once they add this map.

    Yeah, you're right i guess...with what we have now it would kinda be meh, well i mean they could make an open map with lots of trenches where you play mostly infantry and then the tank is sort of like a tool to really break the frontline and let others cap a point, but other than that you're right.

    At least one more tank pattern, and a serious overhaul of vehicle mehanics would totally do it.
    Dreadnought equivalents could also work great on those kinds of maps. Hell, open maps could really handle some unit variety (walkers, large vehicle, monsters, etc.), cus they wudn't be so painfully restricted to square halls with narrow corridors.

    It's just "hold the button till overheat, then hold the button again" in terms of fighting other vehicles. Nothing more. No choices you have to make, no skill... either you shoot him first, or he shoots you first. The rest is just waiting with a button hold

    Unless you are Eldar. Then it also doesn't matter if you shoot first

    I disagree a lot, flanking has a huge impact on tank combat and prioritizing infantry or other vehicles is extremely important to maximizing your vehicles health. Once a Lash predator was able to hold down Agnaitho A an entire match and kill over a dozen other tanks just by flanking and getting Lascannon support, stopping a Space Marine charge dead.

    Obviously they would have to make a gameplay specific for that mode cause yes, to use the same as the one we have in regular games would be utterly pointless.

    Now, i love the idea of tanks fighting. But to be honest if i want to play a tank vs tank 3d action game i have war thunder. Sure, 40k, that's cool and all but that's not what this game is supposed to be i think. And more importantly it's not how this game is built.

    It's an infantry game using vehicles to support (to move around, as mobile artillery or to troll with road kills) the said infantry, vehicles are not the main focus on the game.

    And well, to have that kind of fights would require bigger map and technically i have some serious doubts about how well the game engine can handle that.

    I still want my bike though.
