I do apologize, that I seem to have offended you in the earlier locked thread, it was my intent to proke thought and discussion not hostility. Will they? IMO no, but that's ok its still going to be a pretty epic game even if it dosen't get to be truly "Open world" an there are different areas some large some not so much, some PvP with 100v100 sure, some 1-8 PvE sure. The new producer was really open on what the tech can and cant do, at first it will be small areas that lead up to Forts, then as they get that worked out they will remove the boarders and as that "zone" gets stable they will remove the "zone" boarders As stated starting at 7:00 View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfltPEkNUjs , His intent is to get as close to the original dream as possible the tech behind making it open world didn't pan out. My safe assumption is they are going to work it like planet side were the battles are large enough to make the maps they are building "optimal Fun" some maps will do good with 32 players some will do good with 100 players. Then as that works out they will make more maps an link them together. Will that happen I hope so but I don't put my hopes up so high as to expect it. Hell I'm not even buying in tell I know when Tau are hitting the battlefield, Marines, Orks and Eldar are fine but my heart is set on Tau and as much as I want to grind the bones of my fallen enemy before me, I will wait tell I see and Get what I want from the experience, its F2P right expansions are free no need to buy anything tell a race pack drops, if it takes a year after launch then a year i'll wait to give BE money. For the sake of all the Female players out there I hope Sisters of Battle are the first Faction drop honestly.
I suppose "deliver" is a relative and subjective term As previously stated, the game will not offer everything that was originaly promised. I think they will "deliver", here meaning, a game that will be awesome enough. I sincerely hope that the game will reach it's full potential with aditional updates and so on to become what was originaly promised.
The only thing I have absolute faith in is the nebulous state of the game. It may seem in a troubled state but I haven't found anything to put a personalized final nail in my hype. I'm just looking forward to the Founder's Access to see how things land after being up in the air for so long. Could work wonders, could be a release on the scale of PC's Arkham Knight and Assassins Creed Unity combined. I'm just set on playing the waiting game and seeing things for myself.
I have faith that they will deliver a fun and enjoyable game that is unique in terms of both ranged and melee balance. I have faith that since most of the developers' are fans themselves, they would want to honor the title and give their damnest. I have faith that the lore and easter egg nods will make us 40k fans moist and then some. But would it be a good game? I can't say (No, I'm not a lodge member). But I do know that if it's not a good game, we will be bitching and raising pitchforks enough for them to make the necessary changes to better the game.
Everyone that has given them money has faith in the project. Even if you lost it you can get a refund. No matter how big or how small they are going to deliver something. People take shots at the devs but they Stream a update every week with prizes. The only game that I can say is more transparent would be Star citizen. We get a lot of information on this game and they actually listen a lot we say.
