See, in the beginning (like pre-2014), I was truly under the impression that F2W was a system that would allow the Orks to actually be Orks. You'd even have a sort of hierarchy with P2P players being able to choose from a F2P Orkboy with its own set of classes and progression, and the Nob's, who were not just "Hero's" and "Elites", but basic options P2P's had, which would allow them to actually represent a significant part of the faction. Meaning that it is perfectly reasonable to have entire teams comprising of Nobs, or a single Nob leading a huge horde of F2W players -at any time, not simply when the resources become available to that player. I also assumed that the Nob class was slightly stronger in melee (like that in SM) that the other races because they're so ridiculously resilient and powerful, but needs to rely on the massive amounts of inaccurate firepower and random, hazardous, often suicidal explosives the Ork boy hordes can bring with in order to help them close the gap. I also assumed that Ork boys were indeed, at least individually, overall weaker than the Elite Armies of the 41st millennium, but that shouldn't deter them because their mechanics would allow them to always be well supported.

Things that aren't available or much more difficult to do than other races:

    Rapid Redeployment
Deployment on a Nob - includes "Instant Action" group.
    Cheaper Vehicles
Cheaper load outs to fit more [loot] things in.
Funnier tactics (like Jihad Jeep), Kommando shenanigan's, ect.
    Loot - Steal yah Bolter!
    Looted Tanks
    ect.

Then on top of all of that, there's still the whole concept of just how many players a F2P system can draw into the game. I know right now that's been suspended, but if your race has the potential to have fluctuations of 100,000 players and the others only have 10k tops, the Orks and their WAAGHH's are going to need a nerf, not a buff.

But currently, yeah. I definitely feel like the Orks are getting the short end of the stick - and won't be properly represented until at least the above conditions are met.
  5. If we have 100,00 Orks at a time

    We might brake the server

The game can't even handle the WAAAGH!

In the 30th millennium, when humanity was at its peak and conquering the galaxy, they and their Space Marines came across Orks and needed to develop entirely new weapons to deal with them - the chainsword and the bolter.

The ridiculous overkill of the bolter owes its existence to the durability and hard-to-kill-ness of the Orks. Humans needed weapons that would break a normal one's wrist, just to take on the Orks.

That said, I'm primarily a Sisters of Battle player. My preferred faction is slaughtered in their own lore and in their allies' lore, just to prove how much of a badass the enemy of the day is, before the Space Marines can swoop in and save the day.

In Sisters of Battle lore, their forces take massive casualties, but win the day. Sorta like Orks (in the stories where Orks win) except that Sisters of Battle are nowhere near as numerous and easy to replenish.

My favorite moment in the 30K lore was when it took The Emperor and His Custodes' personal intervention to save THREE Primarchs and their Legions from WAAAGH Beast.

    Nice!
  9. And don't forget Ork fans. Dokkta Waaghzon is watching your back. It don't matter how dead
the space marines make you. I can always stitch ya back together. Feel No Pain for the win.

  10. The lowly guardsmen also know this pain, with the bulk of appearances in lore dedicated to how easily we're slaughtered by the enemy of the week, if we're even worth mentioning. But yeah, Orks really need a boost in terms of representation. Who wouldn't want to read the tales of a Blood Axe warboss and his merry horde of boyz travelling across the sector taking random jobs from naive governors and then backstabbing them repeatedly when the job's done.
