Orks and Goblin toons weren't fodder in Warhammer online only after the game had been out 2 years and Mythic finally decided to finally NERF FUCKING BRIGHT WIZARDS. It took them another year to nerf Warrior Priests and give the Chaos Disciple of Khaine a group cleanse(which the Warrior Priest enjoyed exclusively for almost 30 months). Anyway I melted faces and killed "Order" 'umies and stunties in droves only thanks to my DROW guild mates while playing my Ork Choppa. I don't see Eternal Crusade being any different. Nobody is going to pay to play the Ork faction if their characters aren't pound per pound as lethal and as hearty as Space Marine characters.
I am a huge SM fan it has been my faction of choice always, but I agree with you I have huge respect for the ork player and the ork race they are by far my favourite race to meet in battle. I agree with what you said about the single ork character being weaker than the others in game at start and whilst I think it's accurate that 1 ork does not equal 1 SM, I think that if the devs chose to show this as they have then they should give the orks a bonus when fighting as a group on a map as orks should fight in numbers. Everyone has to agree an army of orks is extremely formidible and therefore deserve a bonus to stats when they coordinate on the battlefield, this makes it more rewarding for everyone I would rather hold a point from an orc army with bonus stats than go around killing single orcs that have been made weaker than my own character. The sheer blood lust of an ork army is amazing and every true SM player knows this and loves the challenge of either charging head on into one or protecting a point from one and because of their sheer numbers it is 50/50 on if we win or die and if we win it would be well fought and something to brag about. Orks should be a challenge and satisfying to fight not squishy cannon fodder it is the tyranids job to provide cannon fodder the orks are a warrior race created to fight the c'tan and should represented as such. Wow sorry for the essay guys I just feel strongly about this too I prey the devs get it right for you guys and look forward to fighting you xenos scum on the battlefield .
