Strong power klaw attack gets clanged off of a chainsword, chainsword doesn't even break...OKAY THEN!
While from an aesthetics and lore standpoint yeah this sucks, they still respect the RPS system. No weapon in the game breaks from one clang, it would feel pretty awful if it did. They wanted to give everyone 2 chances at "the RPS game" before death/getting hit for the first time.
Ok, they get a clang, but that's pretty much an automatic death sentence for you. You have no counter to heavy attacks, as your light attack is slower than their heavy.
I guess the only real use for it is the classic 'Sitting behind a corner with a baseball bat, waiting to make someone go KA-BOOM!'
Okay, the Power Klaw strong attack takes around 3-4 seconds to charge, AND you move slower AND you cannot roll while it is charging. Then it clangs off a chainsword fast attack (which they are usually spamming anyway) and barely does any durability damage? Lol. You can't even strong attack when someone's weapon breaks or when they are d-bashing. It's pretty ridiculous that the basic spam attack from the basic melee weapon just causes your 4 second charged attack to bounce off without doing shit. "Respect the RPS system" my A. But at least I'm lucky I've got a weapon that can clang fast attacks. Just got to work on my rolling reflex when it comes to d bashes (which at least take a lot of weapon durability damage). That said, electrified choppa neuters this thing. If it wasn't useful for killing tanks (and that's a stretch given how many times I instantly die while hitting the tank or get killed by some numbnuts with a lascannon/meltabomb, run over by Eldar transports, etc), it might not get any serious playtime.
