The beast book series gave the tech and ability to the tech priest after they stupid some ork attack moons, they even move a small moon near Mars from, one side to another and tried to do the same with Mars but stopped half way due to too much energy Ned's and damage being done, they concluded that if Ned be they could and would use it but unless it threatened the survival of Mars it self teh. They would need mealinneums to "perfect it" or at the very least reduce the damage / energy cost
  2. They'd already done it with the moon Titan near the end of the Horus Heresy.

So, to make sure I understand...

The Warp does not have any dimensions. Warp Travel functions by a ship disappearing from reality, remaining stationary in the Warp for a time, then reappearing at the target destination, as if by teleportation. Navigation is done through force of will amplified by the ship's technology.

    Did I get that right?

yes but the ship at least the imperial ship that work correctly create a bubble of real space and travel inside that bubble, (is actually a protection from the deamons because for daemons real space is hard to enter).
if you think about teleportation tecnology (the one used by terminators for example) work exactly like that, someone put a beacon and they teleport on that beacon.

time in warp is simply another direction.
walk "north" is like walk "before", turn left is like, go to tomorrow.

this don't mean is simple do it, but you can, like you can fly yes, but you can't simply jump and fly like superman, but actually on the warp there is people and entity than can "fly" like superman.

it's not really about time in the warp but more about how warp interact with real space time.

  7. I only just spotted this.

Sorry, that's a load of tripe.

The Warp has been compared to an Ocean, with currents, storms, and even whirlpools. There's a short story called Ancient History from the Dark Imperium anthology where the Warp is described exactly like that.

Even as recent as 6th Ed (Rb page 146) it was described as such. "Because of the turbulent nature of Warp space, some parts of the galaxy are harder to reach than others. Violent currents of movement within the Warp isolate some zones, requiring circuitous routes to reach them or, at the worst, making any nearby travel impossible until one of the unpredictable lulls momentarily stills the region. More bizarre still, some parts of Warp space act like power vortices, sucking helpless spacecraft to their doom and tearing them apart with impossible forces."

Ships can become becalmed within it, or hit a current that takes them somewhere rather fast.

It has a past, a present, and a future yet you can travel to these points within the Warp. Which makes me think that its currents are like the timetravel theory from Quantum Leap, all scrunched up with a ship able to move from one point in time to another.

    How does that sound @Pouncey & @Catnium?
