I second this. I'd also like to know why some walls that you brace a heavy weapon on don't allow you to aim downwards at all still.
Usually those are double thickness walls. They are intended to stop downward aiming so others can approach a point. The stair thing isn't just for infantry either. I see a lot of mini stops on ramp transitions to flat ground for all factions. The most prevalent spot is on Olipsis when I try and drive on that platform behind A on the way to C. There seem to be multiple mini invisible transition points that cause some weird driving to occur. As far as stairs go it only seems to happen when I try and run up the center point of the stairs or when I try to exit a lift platform on the center. If I run at an angle or aim for the corners of these objects I seem to transition to the next surface more easily. Maybe it is an issue with trying to interact with too many surfaces at once?
considering you are an 8ft tall, power armoured, servo assisted killing machine you should be able to handle dynamic terrain alot easier than currently, small boulders get in the way and currently the tanks are having trouble all over which considering their size and bulk should crush all in their path with ease
Black bolt has some walls too. In the old A room. where now players usually leaves the rhino to C stairs.
I don't know why they don't just have a smoothed out collision mesh on top of their terrain, it would make collision detection easier because of the lower polys and would reduce everyone getting caught on tiny rocks and invisible walls. That way poorly placed geometry wouldn't cause flow issues. I'd rather clip through stuff then die constantly to a 4 inch stone.
