?

Should the environment(s) be totally destructible?

  1. I don't know about others, but I hope the environments will be entirely destructible. For instance, I most likely will be playing as a Chaos Marine, and I would take great pleasure in the ability to wonder off, place explosives, and detonate a power station / relay, or some other hard target in the world. Why? That is the point of chaos, right? Just to see the world burn? Also, it can't just be enabled for missions or part of quests. If a thousand rounds of heavy bolter fire rake across a bunker facing, I want to see chunks of shit flying off, damage visible, and smoking bullet holes. Maybe even a collapsed wall or something. It would also be killer if craters were formed in battlefields from bombs, rockets, grenades, etc., were permanent, and even would stack on one another. i.e. changing the face of the planet as the war rages.

    What are all your thoughts?
  2. Its a great idea, though with the unity engine it's not realistically possible as it's not powerful enough.

  3. Oh well, one can dream. Would it at least allow for demolishing buildings?
  4. Probably, it depends how efficient the code is. Unity is very flexible.
  5. :D Thanks btw tornadium
  6. No problem :)

I hope this game is using a voxel engine but from the sounds of it, it's most likely Unity.
  8. As far as i know it was all but confirmed to be unity but I could be wrong.
  9. I really hope that will be destructible scenery ! Otherwise it will hurt immersion of the player in game
