I think it looks interesting at least and the gamplay videos got me excited. I can see why long term pc players are not bothered by it bu think the scale and presentation look better that what's come in the past.
Maybe I'm wrong. But I can't think of a game

No other game did Co-Op as big as Destiny attempts to, not even Borderlands

many games Have done co-op bigger than destiny, because remember they still haven't old you how many player will be visible in one scene on a console game. Like i said (endless-ages) had it in MMOFPS form back in the late 90s. (Neocron) had large scale co-op considering the time, (Tabula Rasa) damn sure had it, (Fallenearth) well they tried. (Firefall) IS doing it. (The division) is giving lip service that they will make make it, but well see.. Thinking of PC games that achieved this is very easy, compared to console.

Destiny is not a MMO
So for NOT being a MMO, Destiny is the largest-scale Co-Op I have seen for quite a while. That is why I compared it to Borderlands and not other MMO's.

Destiny is no MMO as it offers complete singleplayer mode and seems only to be kinda MMO with the open and free joining mechanisms. Players can jump in and out from strike teams easily, etc. and I think the biggest size of team you can do is like 12 people or so (3-4 strike teams working together) so it is more on a scale of Co-Op like Resistance was but with more open world elements.

So as a non-MMO it is pretty ambitious.

This game actually makes me think a bit of EC, I notice various similarities (though obviously it's also distinct from EC). I expect the EC devs taking some notes from this game, which is pretty much designed to be a big hit that we'll surely move some console sales. I've been waiting to buy the PS4 until this game comes out.

After the countless RRODs I got for my 360s (not exaggerating) I'm not just going to buy a day one console until all the bugs come to light and have been solved. But that's for a different topic altogether.
