That's probably because the majority who still bothers are the fanboys Frankly mate, anyone is free to post. Last time I checked this wasn't a private board for people being positive about the game so who are you to tell people they have no business here. If people trash talk this piece of crap feel free to just ignore those threads/posts.
So playerbase is decreasing from day to day and in my opinion the major problem which is related to this is the simply "weapons to kill and earn exp and weapons to assist your team and having no feeling for fun or impact meanwhile" paired with hilariously bad gamemode construction. Half of my games are this crappy designed "attack point after point" linear gamemode which takes the whole motivation to play this game. At least that's how I feel. The fact that the defenders already have a better position to fight while they still have vehicle gameplay possibilities without any kind of freedom for attackers in tactical global gameplay to at least outsmart the opponent is sooo frustrating for attackers team. As well as the fact that already taken points can be backcaped and even twice as fast as the actual attacker team, which feels like one is simply fighting a team with benefits in defensive and aggressive gameplay. a week ago this game got around 900-800 players. Now this game even struggles to hold 500 and I assume that it will still decrease 2-3 weeks more until the rest of this already small playerbase will quit completely during bad match ups with too far split regional matching, so playing this game becomes simply impossible for those who really got into it. Link to stats I still ask myself what the devs want to do about this still decreasing playerbase. The last time I asked (1 week ago) Katie answered that they actually increase their playerbase from day to day but I guess they look at sold units instead of actually playing people.
To be fair, the player count keeps peaking on thursdays/fridays. I think the issue is people want to see progress and progress just isn't happening quite yet. Once TEQs roll out I could see a bit of a resurgence. Depending on how they're handled and whether it makes the game /fun/ or not will determine player base from there. Personally I haven't touched the game in a week or so because I just can't deal with it anymore. Here's hoping it improves.
Campaigns, more maps, more classes and visual customizations may bring players back. Having to spend real money to get those visuals will drive them away again though. To be honest, having to purchase a game then pay for visual customizations was always a horrible idea. Edit: Also, want to say, it's getting harder for me to want to play more often because it's just the same damn thing over and over and over again lately. Same maps, same weapons, same everything. It's, dare I say: BORING.
Hey now i heard this once before....hmmm evolve it was called ...hmm could it be the same game which is not developed anymore?
But you don't have to pay for anything. Obviously bE wants you to, because that's how they're making the money to keep the game going, but it's down to them to give you stuff worth buying.
Is it productive for either side to trash talk or to fanboy though? Both are admittions of being a troll and nobody likes trolls. Besides, if one doesn't like something, you'd be wasting your time spending time on it's domain (Forum and website) OR you're intentionally trying to shit talk it so people are demotivated and ruin the game even further just because you don't like the game and you're trying to force that on others, and same goes for the fanboy side. So does that sound logical? Shit talking is bad, fanboying is bad, why not have a middle ground with constructive criticism and opinions, even though this is the internet and making everyone be useful is impossible, I try to question what you gain from it and how worth it is... And you're saying "BTW heh it's so funny watching fan bois acting like somebody poured raw promethium on them every time they hear something they do not like and don't understand " when you're literally doing the same You hear someone like something that you don't like and you go all ham on them and insult them/rage/say they can't fanboy which they shouldn't (Even though you tell that to people who aren't even fanboying!), and neither should you do the same exact thing but opposite which is shit talk And no this isn't about the game this is a conversation between you and me about simple playerbase behaviour so don't steer this off topic and call me names or game defender!
So? My point isn't to shit talk, I just said I could do that if I wanted to cos the frustration BHVR caused to its loyal base (including me once) entitles me and others to have a little vent. Ofc it's not productive, so what, I stopped caring about being productive...hell, what's worse, it seems BHVR did too Seriously, I am just passing time here before Death Wing and Sanctus Reach come out, so don't pay too much attention to me, I guarantee you I won't be back, actually, not only me. Speaking of player base; 1. It's tiny. 2. It's frustrated because of rightfull reasons. 3. It's a bit toxic, nothing to be surprised about. 4. It's decreasing. No matter what you will say or do, or me, this won't change. BHVR is the only one that might change that but it isn't going too well so far.
You avoided my question but "I guarantee you I won't be back, actually, not only me." is enough, hope you keep to your promise. Also name one part in my response where I said I denied those 4 things. (Except 2 because not everyone is frustrated about rightfull reasons)
