In all honesty they pushed it too live way to early without getting the balance issues sorted. the amount of salt being spread around spacemarine groups and hobby stores is just comical
Owners: 81,514 ± 7,339 Players in the last 2 weeks: 23,883 ± 3,973 (29.3%) Players total: 79,091 ± 7,229 (97.03%) Peak concurrent players yesterday: 1,095 Players will come back when big patches happen the game is fine specially based on the real numbers. Steam chart is a shitty metric that only tells half the story. : http://steamspy.com/app/375230 Game has actually gone up in owners the past few days by 6000
Okay those are owners, how about actual players, the match making process has been slowing down lately.
Of course it's going up in owners, have you ever seen a game go down in owners so recently after a launch? There would have to be a greater refund-to-buyer ratio, which is virtually unheard of. Here's the only stats that matter; Soulstorm, after 8 years on the market, and having to compete with strategy heavy weights such as Starcraft and Total War, is now pulling a better numbers than EC. Why can't EC compete in its genre (Online TPS action) after only 4 weeks? Because unlike Soulstorm, EC is not a great game in its genre. Give this game a month, and we might be back to Early Access levels. If that isn't a dying game, I don't know what is.
The statistics are real and the numbers dont lie. Its so sad the game got crippled financialy due the dev process. I think it took a turn from potentially great to half-assed. And I dont see yet what could turn the ship around. Maybe a few new player bases...
"How about actual players" you must be blind no offence (Players in the last 2 weeks: 23,883 ± 3,973 (29.3%)) just because only 500-1000 are only currently playing at any given time, there has been at least 24k players that take the place of said 500-1000. People keep stating steam charts "current players" but it's irrelevant posting such doomsday misconception posts. When/If the game has less than 1000 players in the last 2 weeks then you will have something to worry about for now people need to stop being ignorant and causing negative stigma about the game, like that's going to continuously help. It's like people keep trying to make the game implode. Yes there has been a dip in playerbase but most people even stated they will return for the big patches as this game is still in Alpha State as much as people want to think it's "launched".
