Roland hummed for a moment after everyone spoke, breaking his silence after slamming his flat hand on the table, having made up his mind. "Very well. We will launch actual torpedoes alongside the boarding ones, firing them up once they closed a bit down from the movement of the ejection. Once they hit their target, the Vera Krauz will move in and keep the enemy occupied in the void. As soon as their shields fail, we perform a teleport strike. However I only have one squad of Terminators, which means I take all of them with me for a full frontal assault against the bridge. If we cannot end it, then at least we can hit them hard. Zuriel as the only present chaplain, or viceroy rather, will handle the litanies of purity across all systems. That will hopefully weaken them and empower us." The Chapter Master said with a strong nod.

"This will leave you alone for a while and hopefully draw their forces to you in the lower decks, making it easier for us to focus on the high value targets of these pleasure-seeking clowns." The Son of Guilliman added, the hatred against Fulgrim and all of his children being very real, as all of his chapters had such hatred.

Once that decision was made, everyone was given a few minutes to ready their gear. Nobody was given true new equipment, except for Alaster who got a replacement standard pattern power sword, since his old one was 'stolen'.

Eventually, Hesiod, Ruine, Alaster, Viserys, Orochi, Narok, Tarcain and Goreparan found themselves together in the boarding torpedo as the rescuers to retrieve Yeveri. Shin Zhu along with Zuriel were on back-up and to intervene only as a Plan B. While the Sons of Guilliman that were fight capable would keep the fortress as secure as possible.

The torpedo launched, shooting out of the fortress alongside a full broadside barrage of other torpedoes, closing in on their target at extreme low velocity compared to their maximum velocity. Eventually the Astartes got pressed back into the torpedo from the sudden burst of the torpedo engines coming to life and burning all the fuel they had. Explosions could be felt outside as the torpedo interception weaponry awoke. But not before long their torpedo crashed into the Palace of Ecstasy and the group disembarked. The impact having either killed or knocked the cultists out. They apparently landed in a quarter complex, or a modified storage hall as they interrupted an orgy. Naked bodies everywhere, arms filled with stigmas from injecting who knows what sort of drugs. The smell of wine heavy in the air, along with sweat and intercourse. Men and women alike of all ages from pre-teen to what could describe as grandfatherly had confined here together.

"We have given them the only relief there was..." Tarcain said with a solemn sigh, swinging his power scythe into anyone who was unconscious but alive.

It didn't take long until afterwards the vessel went into a deep red and sirens came to life. "Fire and hull breach on multiple levels. All guards on highest alert. Non-fighters are to evacuate into the nearest mess hall or shrine." The message broadcasted on loop. However they had no clue as of yet where Yeveri might be held.

Yeveri indeed was back in his illusion. And everything was just as before. There was the hallway leading back to where he initially was released from, he could go to Helena Himmelfahrt and report his findings as she wanted to from him. Although he still had not gotten any of the clues hiding in plain sight as it was to him described. Then again if the Eldar could be trusted, this all was a trap. The Salamander was left to his own devices and how to handle this supposed illusion.

Orochi Mizakune remained silent as they boarded the boarding torpedo. He had not spoken much since finding out that their brother had been taken captive by the treacherous enemy. The Ronin instead focused himself on the mission ahead, while the others rearmed and readied up themselves. For his part, he had all three of his blades, and there hadn't been any time to go into the private armories with Shin Zhu, so he would make due with his own swords. The torpedo launched and for a while, they drifted, as per the approved plan. Only when the ignition occurred for the engine did Orochi looked forward to the combat ahead.

The boarding torpedo slammed into the side of the enemy void craft, and the front drill made quick work of the hull before rolling to the side, and the Deathwatch Kill-Squad rushed out to meet the enemy. Orochi found himself and his brother confronted with a scene of excess from the Prince of Pleasure himself. Pulling out his power katana, he quickly slashed the throats of several of the mortals as he passed them, listening to the Blood Raven. The Ronin, like nearly all in his chapter, found only disgust in the fact of what others might call temptation from chaos, his chapter having endured repeated incursions from the worshippers of the Ruinous Powers.

Hearing the alarm above and watching lights go red, Orochi turned to his battle brothers. "Brothers, we should head to where the schematics of the ship showed it held the brigs. It will likely be where the enemy keeps our missing Salamander. Whatever we do decide though, we should do so quickly. I doubt the Sons of Guilliman will be able to keep most of their attentions on the bridge for long, and we lack the numbers to slay every heathen on this vessel, much as I relish the opportunity."

  3. Ruine stepped free of the torpedo shell disgusted by the sight of such Heresy. He was anxious to purge this place but stood sentinel as he awaited further Orders. He knew that an unmeasured step in the dark could spell not only his down fall but the loss of his new brothers as well. So he stood firm knowing that he and the other astartes would prove unstoppable. At that thought he smiled.

Alaster stayed silent for the whole time they spent planning preparing the assault on the Palace of Ecstasy. The only things he was thinking about was how to rescue Yeveri and the great opportunity for vengeance had presented itself.

Even after the boarding torpedo smashed into the Chaos ship and they disembarked he remained silent as the grave. Wordlessly striding in the direction the brig supposedly was, he ignored the unconscious cultists and the myriad degenerate acts they had been performing before the torpedo's entrance. Aside from those that found themselves crushed under his power armoured boots this scum wasn't even worth the effort it took to end their pitiful existences. After all he didn't want to tire out his sword arm on these wretches, anyway...

Viserys had been silent during the briefing, scoffing when Roland promised to support them, and left the chamber to prepare as much as possible.

Having settled into a boarding torpedo, having made no objection to the plans that had made, Viserys simply waited until accelerated towards the Chaos ship, tensing in the moments before the torpedo crashed in the cruiser.

A disturbing sight, one common whenever the heretics gathered, greeted the Blood Angel when he stepped from the boarding torpedo and he glanced at Orochi when the Ronin spoke, following Alaster towards the brig.
"Surely nothing will prevent us from taking a few detours, if only to throw any that hunt us from the scent."

Yeveri grunted a little as he looked back over the illusion, sighing as he looked down at the rune. Eldar.. could she be trusted? he had no reason to believe that this would not benefit her in some way, but neither did he feel she had any true reason to lie to him. So, hesitantly, he looked at one of the patients and the nurse tending to them. He put the rune up to his eye to gaze upon what the truth was between what he saw, and what the Eldar had said.

Hesiod analyzed the situation they found themselves in and compared their current position along with the trajectory of their boarding torpedo as well as the prior scans from both Thebes and the Vera Krauz to triangulate their position on the Slaaneshi vessel. All this was done within milliseconds, creating a waypoint on the brigs a few levels below their current position. Seeing with satisfaction that their group was heading into the direction already.

After their quick cleansing and moving onward into the hallways, led by Alaster, Orochi and Viserys - the assault marines - they had to realize that this might be easier than anticipated. The hallways were void of any enemy. But behind each door that was marked with the symbols of Slaanesh - they could easily guess that the same thing would be going on as they just almost witnessed. The Kill-Team could take the time for a detour and kill them, weakening the local forces of this warband, or they could decide to march on to the elevator at the end of the hallway and be on their way for their target.

"I suggest to move on. Considering we wish to destroy their void shields and recover Yeveri Ta'Shan, it would be more efficient to attack both, the brig and the shield generator at the same time. Both targets are on the same level." Hesiod said pre-emptively, creating a second marker on their HUDs for the void shield generator.

Yeveri would see a Nurglite laughing and cackling as his blisters popped and the acid ran down his body, eating away at his flesh, making nice little holes for a handful of maggots he grabbed and put on himself to feed them with his disease ridden body. They started to bore inside of him, eating away happily, like a worm in an apple.

If the Salamander was to put the rune down again, he saw the very same man, but in pain and agony, being treated by a sister who put creams all over him, also offering him a cocktail of pills against the pestilences. And actually soon after the effects of the cure started to be seen, blisters fading, coughing reducing to only a wheezing breathing. But he already had seen the truth through this illusion... The question was, what to do with this knowledge?

Orochi Mizakune moved along with Viserys and Alaster, taking the point given their specialization. Passing the doorways to other parts of debauchery happening onboard the accursed vessel. Making a note of their location, the Ronin turned to their brother techmarine before asking, both to him and to the group in general, "Would it be possible for us to plant explosives in this section of the ship? We might as well inflict as much damage on the way out as possible, and scuttle the vessel if the Emperor wills it. At the very least, we may seriously delay any enemy reinforcements from following us once we have achieved our objectives and require extraction."

Once the answer came, Orochi would nod and either add any explosives he had on hand with the group's or head towards the void shielding. "I will accompany the group headed to disable the shields. I lack the weaponry and fighting style to protect our missing brother, so I shall deliver as much damage to our enemies as possible. They shall feel the Emperor's wrath this day, for both defying his rule and for the audacity of taking one of our own."

  10. Yeveri simply lowered the rune and scowled, looking around without it up. He had to figure out exactly what was going on, but he had only one small vision to work with as it was now. Thinking about it, he knew that if the patient was not what they seemed, then it would seem so that the sister would be similar. So, steeling his mind once more, he gazed at the healer through the rune to figure out what those were.
