  1. Viserys was still quiet, mulling over everything the 'inquisitor' had said. The mention of the eldar/daemon artifact rang a bell but he wasn't quite sure from where.
"The eldar have proven most useful in fighting Chaos. Why didn't you force them to have the artifact?
As the 'inquisitor' continued talking the subjects he spoke of made Viserys frown. The ability to time travel was something that had been known to the Imperium almost since its inception but the plans of the Emperor's Children, and their usage of the Sons as pawns, was troubling.

He already distrusted them, after the battle against the orks, and the implication that they had been corrupted, and could be again, made them even less worth as allies.
"Should we not just destroy the station and build a new one around the Vault? Wipe out the Sons of Guilliman whilst keeping this artifact of yours intact?

Yeveri was floating in a fog. Last thing he could remember he had been thrown into a pod, and suddenly sapped of all his strength. He cursed himself for falling under the spell of Palladine. Perhaps he had been able to do something to stop it. Or perhaps no, he would have not been able to change things. In any case he cursed himself, and moreso cursed Palladine. He tried to raise his arm, all he could do was weakly push against the Librarian. In the back of his mind he heard something, a small voice that he recognized as Hesiod. The Salamander closed his eyes and began to regather his strength while attempting to answer.

"Palladine... betray.." he mumbled into vox, still lost in the fog and barely able to focus while near the librarian. He just hoped the others would get him.. and hope that he could get his own revenge.

With Stormborne protecting him, Alaster had exactly the kind of defensive advantage he needed as he raised his pistol, took aim, and started firing at the tank on the Yeveri clone's flamer as he slowly made his way forward. He would not allow this abomination of science be more than a minor setback in his pursuit of Paladine.

"Viserys the Exterminator." Krauz started, half-mocking, yet also with a sense of trust and pride that his chosen Kill-Team exactly acted like he imagined.

"How do you think we can destroy the Emperor's Children when they come by ourselves alone? Do you possess a hidden army I do not know about? Or perhaps you plan to kill an entire company worth of Traitor Astartes by yourself, and one more for each of your battle brothers assembled here? And the crewmen surely would not fight back either, would they now? Ah wait. This Kill-Ship of course would destroy all and anything in it's path." This time, he brought the full arsenal of sarcasm out, finishing with a heavy sigh.

"And as powerful as the Eldar might be, they have too many civilians on their Craftworlds that would end up empowering the entities of the Warp by devouring their souls. So I rather had it hidden away from them. And no daemon yet has it discovered. Even now, it is only a single warband which believes it to exist - without any real proof. Other than that, you know what might speak against obliterating this station? All the holy weapons of the Ordo Xenos being stored here. Important research documents and feats of achievements of the many Marines that served here. Once we have recovered all that. Then we might consider that option." He said more seriously this time around.

The Astartes in the data array nodded and spread out, bolters ready and scanning the area as if they were sentries.

The two that Hesiod 'requisitioned' replied to his request of identification. "Biggs." said one. "Wedge." Replied the other, running not at full speed as they could easily keep up with the heavily armed Techmarine.

"What are we exactly expecting in the restricted area, Master Techmarine?" Biggs inquired, being - judging by his voice - one of the younger Astartes, barely out of the aspirant status.

Hesiod might glance on his HUD and notice that they were relatively close, only having to get a few decks up via elevator or staircase nearby to the vault area.

"Oh I'm not betraying you. I'm freeing you of your shackles of being a frontline warrior, a martyr for the Imperium's false promises. You will soon see for yourself, Yeveri. How rotten the Imperium is. And that your flame can aid us in cleansing it, rooting the true evil out." Palladine told Yeveri, dragging him still towards the exit.

In the meanwhile Ruine was still engaged by two clones, all three firing upon another, with Ruine at a significant disadvantage, but managing to withstand the flames as his machine spirit endured the heat like he would with his pure will. All the while, shooting the first assailant into shreds, blood gushing out as there were several cracks in the power armor of the artificial Astartes.

Alaster's luck, or skill, prevailed. He penetrated the tank but caused not much more to Yeveri as he threw the flamethrower away before it detonated, the explosion engulfing the weapon and scorching the walls. The Salamander grabbing his Chainsword and Bolt Pistol to charge the Storm Warden, pinning him with salvos of the high quality Bolt Pistol manufactured on Nocturne. But soon he was in melee range, bringing the sword down against Stormborne causing painful noises of metal grinding on metal and sparks to emit from where the sword bit the shield.

OOC: Yeveri ( @BadDo9 ) cannot break free, but he may talk and/or indicate struggling.
  5. "Heretech filth" the imperial fist muttered as he charged the remaining Copy intent on knocking him to the ground. Power armor may protect the clones at range but nothing would save it from point blank cannon fire.

As the clone charged into melee Alaster cast his pistol aside and met him, using his shield to block the strikes from the chainsword while using his free hand to wrestle the pistol out of "Yeveri"'s grip. Just for good measure he lunged forward to deliver a good power armoured head butt to the face and once again let out a powerful burst of energy from Stormborne to send the chainsword out of his opponent's hand and sailing harmlessly through the air. Alaster silently prayed to the Emperor in the hope that his attempt to completely disarm the clone in one fell swoop would succeed.

As Hesiod ran toward the elevator that led downward into the lower, restricted decks, his vox fizzled with static only to let a weak, barely audible voice:
    "Palladine... betray.."

Wincing behind his heavily augmented helmet as if he will be able to hear better, Hesiod yelled back, the deep baritone of his inhumane voice revebrating though the structure of his bulky power plate:
"Yeveri? Yeveri!! Hold on, we are almost there!"

A face and a scene flashed behind his eyes, the memetic recall of the Space Marine psycho-indoctrination bringing the memory in perfect recollection.
Prison. Release. Unknown marine. Yeveri clutching at the imposing figure of the Chapter Master. Unknown Marine behind him. Psychic cowl.

    Witch!

Without losing a step he heard the question behind him and a voice that Techmarine`s battle honed senses and sensitive augurium reckognized as one that is freshly mutated, just out of boyhood. Musing upon the simple question, his ire at their Chapter Master almost escaped him in a form of a brazen and sarcastic answer. But the boy should not suffer for the failing of his betters:

"Unknown. The vaults housed an object of supposedly high moral threat so shield your minds as well as bodies. At least one enemy compromised the vault and poses as brother Astartes. Probably an alien or traitor of the rank of Codicier and above. Watch your fire, for a friendly Salamander is inside, though he seemingly fares badly."

As they stopped at the elevator, with a push of a digit summoning the machine to them, Hesiod turned his heavily augmented helmet that nestled in between the bulky plates of his power armor.

"Brother Biggs, no matter our entry order keep at the rear." Hesiod spoke, drenching his mind in preperation ritual for the oncoming battle with mind-numbing litanies of steel and stone, beseeching Machine God for sublime surety of monotonous drone.

  8. "Dock the ship at the Station then, if you want worthwhile recommendations. The rest of the kill-team is there and we need to join them."
Viserys glowered at the inquisitor, straightening and stepping away from the wall. He was irritated by Krauz's mocking and glanced at the other Space Marines in the briefing room, seeking confirmation of his suggestion.

    -Before

Kurze!? Narok thought surprised to see the inquisitor alive. he had heard tales of the inquisitor and learned about the ship being named after his supposed death but to see him now alive was a surprise, The feeling of warmth and protection from the librarian was still there and he could not detect anything foul about the man, He had heard of the occasional story's of inquisitors being reported dead to only turn out alive.

Speaking up the Librarian rose from his stance as he readied to head to the Bridge, Tapping a button on his helmet his brothers who still had there helmet on or even armor they would receive ping to gather amoungst the bridge as they left reporting mostly Naroks area as he began to move back to the bridge.

    Now-

Narok was silent once again analyzing the situation from the dark somewhat confounded but understanding the situation at hand as confusing as it was and the fact that that it was possible they were either in the future or past, Narok had to wonder if things could be changed for the sons of guilliman. more importantly he began wondering about this one traitor warband and this Urtus that was leading them, "This warband, do we know anything about there fighting styles, Supplies, Tactics and possibly there numbers? and the Sons of Guilliman Think it is possible to change there path or save them from falling any further?" Narok asked from the shadows as he spoke thinking now on the possible paths of the future.

"Who knows how many they could draft away from the 13th Black Crusade. But Urtus was always a narcissistic bastard. Believing him to be the most powerful among his own peers. And the death of Ahriman only empowered him in that regard. He is a Sorcerer of Slaanesh, though he loves to manipulate everyone and all around him, seduce others to fall for She Who Thirsts, the Prince of Pleasure, the King of Desires, or by whatever other name you want to call that warp entity. They fight with the purpose to show superiority, excess power and direct control. Their emotional abuse is what makes them strong. For example they would hold a strategic unimportant position, if they knew that it was important to a commander. They would torture prisoners of war just in sight of a compassionate imperial officer. Just as they would taunt the most loyal imperials by just remaining outside of their firing range, provoking them in attacking them. Once you show your emotion - they will make sure to use that against you." Krauz warned Norok and those around them assembled regards the tactics of their enemies before going on to the Sons of Guilliman.

"Well. They are loyal so far. And with our intervention, we might be able to keep them on path. But the moment we see the seed of corruption we must unroot it. Be it their Chapter Master or someone else." He said with determination, although having known Sirius Jules, aka Roland, in person - or especially because of that and his sometimes radical decisions - he knew that a chapter's legacy was on the line. The conflict here would decide how they were going to be remembered.

Then he replied to Viserys inquiry about docking the vessel on the station. "Use the Thunderhawk. I'm not going to have my ship risked to be caught in an explosion of the station. Look at it. It's already missing quite a chunk where the Rok once has been. Not to forget that it's safer out here with the void shields and automated defenses than being docked and risking boarding. But I feel your frustration Viserys. That is why I had gathered you all, because Tarcain and I were helpless only the two of us. But together, we have a chance to protect the vault. I could talk to the Eldar and see if we can convince them to help us. That is, if you agree to that course of action." He directed the last regard towards everyone, not just Viserys.

When the elevator came to a halt and the trio moved out in the formation as instructed by Hesiod, they heard running from around the corner. With weapons ready they anticipated an Ork, no rather a traitor Astartes. The tension did build up in Biggs and Wedge, the latter giving off a shot too early just as he saw the silhouette coming around the corner. Only to have it revealed being Tarcain as he jumped out of the corner, chainsword and bolt pistol ready. He sighed in relief to see allies and hurried to their side - giving Wedge a serious look of 'what by the golden throne were you thinking?' but not saying anything.

"Let's go, we are almost there." Hesiod quickly would calculate why Tarcain took so long, and then could easily tell by the panting and chest pumping of the Blood Raven that the lack of Power Armour combined with probably lack of nutrition, as little as an Astartes might need, and the stress of combat did not allow him to move as fast as a well maintained Battle Brother.

Together the four would march on and soon enough reach the vault.

OOC: You can assume you are at the vault now; arriving at the time after the first 2 paragraphs from the vault people below.

    @BadDo9 - Yeveri Ta'Shan - Salamander - Tactical
    @SpeceralWolfe - Ruine Master - Imperial Fist - Devastator
@Jammysod - Alaster MacBaran - Storm Warden - Assault Marine
And Ruine's combat experience showed him right. He almost shoved the Autocannon through one of the clones helmets, that's how close they got, as he continued his barrage. Obliterating helmet and head and everything within, causing the first corpse to drop. The other one just had emptied his tank and discarded his flamethrower, moving quickly in before Ruine could obliterate him, too. He put his hands on the Autocannon and attempted to wrestle it out of the Devastators hands, the deadly rounds spraying all over the room.

Alaster has proven superior melee skill as the wrestle for the pistol was successful, bashing it out of the fake-salamanders hand. However the energy-wave of his shield would prove him wrong as Yeveri, the original, knew the sound it made and it's effect from before when the Storm Warden used his shield to propel his blade into Palladine's back. So this time, the clone stepped quickly out of range, leaving the shield without a power field temporarily and the Salamander with a Chainsword ready to tear. With his empty hand he pushed the shield to the side with all of his might, swinging the sword down and tearing into the non-shield bearing upper arm of Alaster, tearing through the power armor and soon spraying a gush of blood across both warriors. Just then the Yeveri clone suddenly gasped, before being shoved down sideways to the ground, the chainsword having been stopped before it could reach the arms bone.

"Are you alright?" A concerned and at last recovered Shin Zhu asked, having killed the Salamander clone with only one blow, by piercing the primary heart and then cutting sideways through the multi-lungs, secondary heart and other important organs.

Palladine finally made it outside of the vault, when just then from one side of the hallway, an angry Chapter Master came running at him, while from the other there came a group of four Astartes led by Hesiod. "Too late to join the party, apologies... Cousins." The Librarian chuckled in a dark tone as a warp gate opened before him - not cast by himself though as he had not channelled any of his powers.

He held Yeveri in a tight grip and just dragged the Salamander with him into the immaterial gate, it dispersing the moment both forms entered. Roland leaped, trying to reach Yeveri, but he landed only on the cold and empty floor. And for his failure, the floor was punished with several heavy slams of his fist that would dent it.

Tarcain, Biggs and Wedge tried to shoot the Librarian but didn't want to risk killing Yeveri, and so they did halt their fire. Both Sons of Guilliman with great disappointment in themselves watched their chapter master beat himself up for all of their shortcoming. Tarcain on the other hand simply sighed heavily, catching a break by pressing his back against the wall.

OOC: Yeveri ( @BadDo9 ) is a goner and must be freed from the enemy's vessel (unless he can manage to break out by his own)
