The size of the Iron Hands post-Heresy confuses me. Fulgrim tells us that only the very best of the Legion, in only a handful of ships, reached Istvaan in time for the Massacre. The rest of the Legion, as far as I know, seems to have scattered around the galaxy.

Unless most were defeated there should be a large number, many Chapters' worth, of Iron Hands in the galaxy after the end of the Heresy.

So kind of. Through my reading instead of breaking into chapters at first they stayed legion but on paper they broke into clans. Each clan is basically a chapter. Later they had a civil war and broke into chapters but still the Iron Hands number alot more than they officially report.

Ha...... @Uriel1339 most silver skulls still believe the emperor to be a god, and they will not act unless they have deemed through prognostication it is the emperor's will. The skulls have left entire worlds to die because they deemed it was NOT his will.

But not all of them are crazy like this, but rest assured...mine would be pretty zealous

Tellon walked down the halls after a visit to the mechanicum's section of the ship, or the doors to it. Tellon had to wait for the Adepts to bring him his Plasma Gun out as he was not allowed access inside. But finally, after waiting for half an hour, He received his reconstructed Plasma Gun. Unfortunately, Some of the Decor was heavily scarred by the overload and had to be repaired. He arrived at his temporary quarters on the dawn of war and retrieved a weapon held in a large scabbard and slung it on his Power Armor's waist. Off to the Armory, we should be arriving in system any moment now. He did just that, and made his way to the armory.
