Tul goes against the popular belief . He considers the Emperor dead in the physical realm, he does think the Emperor still exists. I wanted Tul to be a bit different Astartes other than:

Theres been skeptical marines in the books and some have very differing views of the popular stuffs so, thats why I went there. And yes, I knowingly avoided the "corpse emperor" thing not to out himself as a heretic.

And yeah no problem, just touching base so we are on the same page, no GM scolding or such And nah every Astartes still can have their own belief, especially in this struggle with the Imperial Truth being twisted by the Ecclessiarchy with the church taking more power while the Astartes probably have identity crises with losing more and more of their past every century. Influence and character wise. I mean it's at a point now where the Battle of Terra is a historic event - a fable even to many Imperials and where before it was taught that it was a hard battle now more and more it goes towards that the Emperor and his sons had sacrifices (such as Sanguinius having sacrificed himself in the name of mankind) but that they totally obliterated the evil demon by the name of 'Horus' and that all evil has been cast aside, bla bla bla because the God-Emperor is almighty.

Even if the Emperor was restored he still couldn't rise from the Golden Throne. Would history be changed that much?
