I'm going to be honest, I'm a little frustrated. Simply because I put quite a bit of thought into what Xarxis said, and it seemed like everyone ignored it just to get to the end of that scene. No one actually responded to his words, nor even him blocking the blow from @Valonox . He is not in the team, still has no reason to trust either side, and doesn't have reason to trust either side of the philosophy either. And I really am not going to restate that whole thing in another IC post.
As GM I concur that there was a lack of interaction towards the new character, most likely the other players (correct me if wrong) just really were confronted with this over an IRL time-span of weeks and really want to bring the whole arc to a conclusion. Which is however no excuse to ignore a newcomer like that. In general I think during downtime period after the decision was made, you lot would have more capability of catching up (unless those who opt with Seelenbrand, those chars will be gone until the War of the Beast, so after the next deployment) and getting in the same mindset.
Sorry mate, I had fallen a bit behind in the thread here so had to wrap up Zuriels decision rather quickly, leaving me unable to talk towards anyone specific. I'll try to keep up so he can interact more directly with Xar
Claudius did not ignore him, but I will put it this way....At least for Zuriel and I, we are confronted with someone we would be told is our enemy and then find out it is an old friend. Then Seelenbrand, an Inquisitor, shows up and states that Sariel must die and we must conform to the new Imperium... So from an IC stand point, your character is noticed, but an Inquisitor and old friend have drawn much of the attention. On top of that, Claudius is growing less and less fond of new comers with the way Mariel is acting. So from an OOC stand point it is good to have you with us, but from a Claudius stand point "You are either with me or against me!" lol
I can understand most of that. except to be honest, that last bit. I personally don't feel like he's even gotten any interaction to say that. The last thing that happened was Zuriel @Keidivh giving a short, blunt explanation of the happenings. And after that.. nothing. Not even a reaction to his interaction with @Valonox as after the kick was blocked (which no one commented on either) all the words were to Seelenbrand. I can understand an IC "With me or Against me" but he's not even gotten that choice really. It's as if, to me, he's so good at hiding no one sees him when he's not trying to hide. I'm not really asking for him to be in the spotlight, but there's no reason for him to do anything but go to his chapter and await his next mission, as there's been no interaction to sway him one way or another.
I am only explaining Claudius and not everyone else, because with the amount of random Astartes the group has run into, both 'loyal', renegade, and traitor, you would be another face in the crowd to Claudius, because like you said there has been no interaction besides taking the side of the Inquisitor. Granted you did say give me a reason to trust you, but then again Claudius has been explaining himself and his views for about three lengthy posts now.
He has. But that, at least to Xarxis, isn't reason. from his veiw, your friend captured and tortured him, he was rescued and told intent to kill him, and almost immediately it became save him from the inquisitor. I'm going to post now and somewhat restate his view, partially to make responses to them make sense in context. But I still think that the views on the ecclesiarchy are moot to Xarxis. He has no reason to trust the sides of the argument, nor the team themselves. If anything all he's been given are reasons to NOT trust them (Internal arguments, on-the-heel personality changes (target to ally, ready to fight to suddenly remorseful), among others)
The only thing still standing against you was the whole Vahn attacking Seelenbrand thing and Xarxis intervening to protect him. Other than that, I agree with both of you guys :X Also I am just glad RP activity spiked drastically! ^^
Going to kill Golbez: @matt23 @Keidivh @BadDo9 Going with Seelenbrand back to the Imperium (will return for War of the Beast; gets to play NPC during Golbez-Attack): @TechCaptain Undecided: @seabass @ItsTime @Valonox @Avenging-Angel Correct me if wrong. Also will ONLY proceed once all players made their choices.
