Tellon stopped and look back as Sariel spoke those words, and looked at the Arena where his fellow brother stood, Spitting at an unknown and calling them traitors. Tellon knew that Sariel may have just earned the wrath of his opponent, and he may be needed to stop him from killing Sariel.
@Uriel1339 "I don't know about my new friend here but I would be interested in seeing the rest of the station. The name is Arslan of the Steel Predators by the way."
~~ Training Complex - Battle Cages ~~ Lucious Umbra, the Blood Watchman (9/9 WL) vs. Dromulus, the Ultramarine (9/9 WL) The attempted disarm hit was pathetic as Dromulus simply rolled under the blow in it's entirety and then swung sideways at the hips of the unknown Astartes, however he had miscalculated the swing-movement of Lucious and he was out of range, just when Dromulus weapon was supposed to hit him. ~~ Training Complex - Battle Cages ~~ Sariel, the Dark Angel (5/9 WL) vs. Turamodus, the Iron Snake (6/9 WL) The Ithakian warrior squinted his eyes within the helmet and roared in anger as he sprinted forward. Nobody sullied an Iron Snake's honor like that and would get away! NOBODY! He charged straight forward, aiming to tear him apart with his spear! ~~ Sapphire Tower & Observatory ~~ "I am Hermes of the Patriarchs of Ulixis, that is Moritmer of the Mortifactors, we are both descendants of Guilliman." He introduced themselves, while he bowed his head to these two. "In all honesty. I would like to sneak into the Librarian's room. It is nearby here, I have looked at the station's schematics during our flight. The Librarium is after all where all the information is housed. What do you two think?" Was Hermes the Patriarch of Ulixis just proposing to break in, into a chief-officers rooms? Yes he was. Was that what they just discussed all this time? Perhaps they came to the conclusion that the Codex over and over repeats the importance of information and how it is half the battle and the fact that they were in a secret organization that not even they understood. Hermes turned to the trio behind him. "Look. For all we know, the only reason we don't have team designations yet is because... We are still being tested. There was not one single test until we arrived, and now suddenly we are in this space station, left to our own devices and stripped of our wargear beyond our Power Armor. This is our test, I am sure of it. So let us go and impress them to our best. Gather what we can, perhaps even make our way into the armory, gather our gear and present ourselves to the Watch Captain and his officers." RULE CHANGES! #1 Disarming A disarm attempt will be melee-only. It sacrifices the attack of an entire hand. So if you disarm with a Weapon (in this case training weapons who have 3 hits) you will get 3 attempts. the enemy will roll against it equally (so if you have 10 hits, the target would also roll 10 dice). If the attacker had more successes than his foe, he will be disarmed and the target additionally receives damage in difference of Attacker vs. Target successes. If the target had more, he will get an automatic counter (2 hit attempts). If it was equal, the disarm was a simple fail and that's that. Example: Attacker has 5 hits in disarm attempt. Target rolls 3 against the attempt. => Target is disarmed and suffers 2 wounds / hits against armor (if any) However Wrist & Shoulder mounted weapons as well as grown-weapons (i.e. talons, mechadendrite, etc.) #2 Defense: You know. With all this combat stuff, I never actually considered anyone ever blocking or so.... So uhhhh I am not even sure what to do for defense-wise. I just went that a successful block just would be lack of hit from enemy. Sooooo I just go by the same I came up with for disarming. You get in future attempts equivalent to the incoming attacks. The difference will be suffered damage. Example: Enemy has 10 attacks; you are in defense mode; both of you get 10 hit rolls. Attacker > Defender => Difference = Wounds/Damage Attacker = Defender = Successful Block Defender > Attacker = 1 Counter Attack aka 2 hits (to make blocking not super awesome.)
"you seam to have some skill then at least" as he spoke he changed his stance again but this time it seamed he was biiger than he was "though this should not be a fight to win but to learn from one anouther" with that he struck out as fast as he could with all his attacks he could aiming for a seperet limb with each blow
~~ Training Complex - Battle Cages ~~ Lucious Umbra, the Blood Watchman (9/9 WL) vs. Dromulus, the Ultramarine (9/9 WL) "Fighting is always about winning. If we are not seeking victory and glory, then there shall be no courage and honor! Fight to your best, or perish - that is our fate as Adeptus Astartes!" Dromulus strongly disagreed. But words mattered little when focused blows first against his shoulders came and then an uppercut blow after two feints right against the chin of the Ultramarine, sending him couple of steps backwards. As the attacks came in, Dromulus growled in pain, the massive uppercut against his chin having left quite an impression on Dromuls, despite the helmet, he could feel his bone crackle. He would not let the hits go unpunished away! Quickly his Gladius came down twice in a stabbing motion right between the multi-lungs, sucking the oxygen out, with little efficiency, but still harm. Lucious Umbra, the Blood Watchman (7/9 WL) vs. Dromulus, the Ultramarine (4/9 WL)
~~ Training Complex - Battle Cages ~~ Sariel grinned beneath his hood as the Iron Snake hurried towards him. This was just what he wanted - to make his opponent angry and thirsting for his blood, which in turn would make him reckless, something Dark Angel had every intention of exploiting. Following the teachings of his Legion when it came to fighting with the blade, Sariel waited for the last possible moment for the spear to reach him before he attempted to swirl around it and slam his sword straight at Iron Snake's chest. Following that was a low kick aimed at the side of his opponent's lower knee, which if Sariel manages to hit and push enough force into it, would hopefully throw the other combatant on the ground. OOC duno how my shit would be interpreted via rules - perhaps an evasion roll?
Tellon readied himself to sprint in there at a moments notice, growing more concerned at the Iron Snakes furious charge towards his fellow brother, he knew the unknowns' fury was justified, but the punishment for the foolish words of Sariel will not end in death if he can help it!
~~ Training Complex - Battle Cages ~~ Sariel, the Dark Angel (5/9 WL) vs. Turamodus, the Iron Snake (6/9 WL) OOC: There ain't evasion. Either enemy hits you, or he ain't So if you are in melee and you want to evade damage it will be automatically defense roll. I nailed the rules now down in the rulebook. You can either attack or sacrifice your attack to block. But you cannot do both. So this action of your combat is just pure attack with narrative fancy evasion stuff. Don't worry too much beyond if you are blocking or attacking The issue was, that first of all. The Dark Angel was not as quick as he thought he was. The second issue was that he was not as strong as the Iron Snake. The third issue was that the frustration made the Iron Snake not just more angry, but also that he took the combat as serious as they were standing on the battlefield enemy-to-enemy. However, once the first hit came onto Sariel with immense strength, the training-spear almost breaking, with such force it hit the chest of the Dark Angel, he managed quickly to get on-par with the Iron Snake and evade most hits, save for the last which was a jump-kick, again aimed at the Dark Angels chest that pushed him several feet backwards. The Ithakian warrior breathed heavy and his whole body shook as his eyes behind his helmet burned with utter disgust and hatred. While the Dark Angel could feel that his body started to somewhat give up, at least his body's biological system pressed pain suppressants into him, making it easier to carry on. Sariel, the Dark Angel (3/9 WL) vs. Turamodus, the Iron Snake (6/9 WL) OOC: You had 3 crit fails bruvva xD
Training Complex - Battle Cages Athenallas moved to stand when he heard the Dark Angel go as far to claim that his opponent was descended from one of the Traitor Legions. When he was struck by his suitably-enraged opponent Athenallas smirked and settled back into his seat. Stupid idiot got what he deserved. Turning back to watch Lucious and Dromulus the Black Templar snorted in amusement when he noticed that his prediction was so far coming true.
