Bargov nodded before bracing on his knees to fire the heavy bolter. "On it! Finally, some damn xenos to fight!" The bolts flew forth at the ork horde that would soon begin charging their position! Althought unexpected to see orks in this place, this would still be a day of glory to remember!....If they survived this.

Attack: Compact Suppression Heavy Bolter (10) [AOE x 2.5 instead of x 2.0] (Ignores 3 Armor) + Heavy Weapon Artificer (+1 hit) against ork horde!

Zuriel was disappointed to see Jacen go, but in all honesty it was probably the best possibility to occur. He knew the boy would have eagerly fought them all to defend his Emperor, his ideals. He respected that, and he would grow to be a mighty Astartes. A shame he wouldn't live to see that future.

As they made their way closer, although it was hard to tell in the twisting webway, a strangely familiar feeling began to descend on him. Orks.

And Orks there were, in their hundreds. While a curious sight, what gave Zuriel pause was their leader. A massive beast, looking far to similar to Faahrus Waaghnus.

    @matt23
"Aurelius, seems we have another pretender." The Viceroy knew that this held far darker implications then the rest bothered to think of at this point. He had seen the might Waagh that the last 'Ork Primarch' led, and it could not be coincidence that another, looking eerily like Magnus was leading a cohort in the Webway to assault the Emperor himself.

Primarchs save us. This was what Sariel spoke of.

"Primus, focus fire on the Horde, cut them down in droves like for the glory of the Emperor! They shall not sully his sacred domain with their foul presence!" Zuriel barked as he pulled out his bolt pistol, unloading it into the Horde, looking to strike down as many as possible before the inevitable melee begin, which the Thirst so desperately called out for.

    ~~ Claudius Botting ~~
"It is too much of a coincidence for my taste. Nonetheless, we can agree that exterminating it will be our priority. A couple of Orks won't keep us away from healing the Emperor to his prior strength!" The Ultramarine roared, engaging his jump pack to get into close combat and smash the enemies aside.

    ~~ Xarxis Botting ~~
"As you order, Brother Chaplain." The scout said ice-cold, moving under the cover of the Terminator Ultramarine to get into close enough range to throw his demolition charge into the midst of the Orks, while shooting with his bolt pistol at the enemy. Usually he would operate with infiltration, but that was no option here. At least he had a mobile adamantium wall for a shield.

    ~~ GM Post ~~
Claudius' charge was aided by Dephormatus and Immanuel who charged forwards as well, tearing the enemies apart in close combat and more importantly - keeping him safe. Serran in the meanwhile charged a spell as the fight for not just a noble goal but also survival started.

Like often with encountering Orks the combat was in the foreground until they all were taken care of. It was no surprise that the Deathwatch kill-team which prevailed months against endless hordes of daemons would have little trouble with a bunch of Orks!

Erxandros and Bargov - the heavy brothers - led with example as they focused their massive armament gainst the green horde, not showing the slightest flicker of fear in their wild rampant shootings. Slugs collided with their armor and left little more than a scratch while a massive Sealance and mass reactive shells started to fly. The lance itself, thanks to an apparent lack of normal physical rules simply continued to propel straight forward after colliding with the first Orks' head. It penetrated almost a dozen Orks, or killed them by association, such as causing an Ork to get shoved by the flying Orks-on-a-stick to the side and ramming his choppa into his neighbor's skull. Bargov's mowing of the enemy in the meanwhile was far more straightforward, laying his fire in a wide left-to-right and back from right-to-left arc. Though he overstressed his weapon and overheated it. Nothing too dangerous, unless he would again misjudge it with another attack like this one. At least it was worth the risk, considering his kill tally even exceeded Erxandros' now.

Zuriel's bolt pistol's fire went pretty much unheard off but still it managed to reap two greenskins from the face of the world, well webway, as they slumped to the ground. It was not in the slightest as glorious as Dephormatus, Claudius or Immanuel however as they charged into the right side of the horde. The heavy thunderhammer came down in four horizontal swings, twice from and in each direction. Each swing annihilated four enemies with one strike. And each time Claudius had slain a quartet, a new one was ready to get another beating. However to be a rock in the green tide also meant to be an easy target. And a slug shot indeed managed to ledge itself into his armpit and wound him.

Dephormatus wouldn't have his gene-brother be hurt anymore and mowed all the foes in close combat down. His massive two-handed power sword came down in wide swings - diagonally mostly - cleaving however only a trio apart as the others managed to duck or evade his blows. The terminator was bulky and the Orks not as stupid as one would think. Immanuel came quickly to his aid and cut down the Orks with his two swords. The speed of the heresy veteran might be only matched by Vahn if he was present, cutting them down while constantly on the move. But what good was to move if every step got you into more enemies? Eventually not having enough room nor time to make use of his agility, a massive choppa came down right between shoulder and neck, digging into his flesh and rendering quite a wide wound. But with his other arm, he quickly disposed of the fool of an Ork.

Tul and Bruno remained on the distance, giving cover fire for Xarxis who had quite an obvious plan, moving right behind the Terminator with an explosive charge in his hand. Each of the Bolter-slingers eliminated a trio. Xarxis, once being in melee range he made a quick sidestep and hurled it with as much strength as he could into the midst of the Ork horde. It landed somewhere amongst them and shortly afterwards detonated, killing three dozen Orks in the process. But his attack was not quite over yet as he also sent six more with a happy-trigger finger on his bolt pistol into whatever afterworld the Orks had.

The explosion worked as a cue for the Blood Raven Librarian who created rocks out of thin air and hurled them at the Orks from above. It was effective enough to bury 8 Orks under their massive weight, squashing them to death. And if they weren't dead from those rocks, they would be killed under the trampling feet of their own kin who just ran over them, eager now to get into close combat fights.

Jacen had no problem flying, however. His assumptions of the fight on the ground were quite... Wrong. As he flew right over the fortress of Golbez, well the revealed Tur'tes Shen, his scanners detected only a handful vox signals. They were broadcasting Ultramarine and Sanguine Templar emergency signals, judging by their origin they all were bunkered up in one room. Yet... The traitor forces were all dead. Tanks smoking and burning on the outside. There was even an Ultramarine Dreadnought completely destroyed, cut wide open where the sarcophagus is. There was an uncanny sensation on his mind. Quite akin to a sensation that a normal human would identify as ... Fear. It was the prescience of his psykerhood and it bode no well.

Orientating himself to the locator beacons the Thunderhawk had detected the Rampager quickly made his through the graveyard of tanks, heading for an entrance the Sanguine Templars had made in the fortress wall, and prepped his bolter as he entered the facility.

"Roger!" Bruno shifted his aim to orkz on the flanks and kept steady fire. "By the blood of Sanguinius!"
Opening salvo killed about quarter of the orkz, not a bad result, Angel Sanguine thought to himself. Now we should keep pressure and they will break. "This is my revenge!"- suddenly Bruno felt quiet, but impeccable pull of the Red Thirst. Steady.
