"Then i shall take the point. Lets go, brothers." Bruno hurried over to Erxandos and opened private channel to Zuriel: "I hope we are doing the right thing, brother." OOC: @seabass no offence taken, RP is what we're here for
Black Jewel Dawdling behind the others Jacen fell back far enough that he reckoned his departure wouldn't be noticed before turning and running for either the drop-pods or an escape pod large enough for him to fit into. Let the others waste their time and energy! Twice now Jacen had suggested a direct groundside deployment against Golbez and he knew that it was the best course of action to take.
~~ Eldritch Surface - Webway ~~ @matt23 | @Avenging-Angel Claudius in the thunderhawk met the other elite soldiers of Golbez, though these - he did not know, none of them were clad in terminator armor like Dephormatus. One was obviously a sorcerer, having hailed from a recently founded chapter known as the 'Blood Ravens' - his name was 'Azariah Serran' and the other was a child of Fulgrim, an Emperor's Child. But he was not in the post-heresy armor, no. He bore the colors of the loyalists, the pre-heresy, his name was 'Immanuel'. However when their Thunderhawk landed and the group of four disembarked, they were encountered by a Stormseer of the name Jacen, Claudius easily capable of identifying him. He had arrived just a moment before them via drop-pod that still stood there. He was covered in blood and his body rocked still from the recent combat. The trio who served now the Ultramarine simply took position behind their lord, holding weapons read but low. Several dozen miles to the south-west the bulk of the Sanguine Templar made their descent to conquer the lord-less fortress. ~~ Boarding of Black Jewel ~~ @Keidivh | @TechCaptain | @seabass | @BadDo9 | @Wata | @Mohax Jacen had disappeared and as soon as he was a hundred feet away from the group, his vox-signal completely disappeared into oblivion... The rest of the group moved onward, up the stairs - the quickest route to the bridge. There were only few guardsmen on their way which bore no challenge whatsoever. Either they just were torn a new hole by Tul, or Zuriel might smite them where they stood, cracking helmet and skull. Once they reached the command deck is when they actually found resistance. A hub, similar to the one their recent skirmish was, was before them. And it was becoming serious as they were met by an entire cabal of sorcerers counting a dozen, led by an Astartes sorcerer dressed in the garbs of a Thousand Son. If one didn't know better, this could have very been Lapislazuli. "Too bad you have no guest of Fenris amongst you, I miss to smite wolves, but I guess a bunch of vampires and reptiles will do for now." He grinned behind his mask as he thrusted his staff forward, causing a strong telekinetic wave. Every Astartes was capable to mag-lock themselves on the floor except for Xarxis, due to his scout armor not allowing such move, who was thrown against a wall behind him, his head hitting it hard - enough to knock him temporarily out. This left the remainder of the squad to deal with the Tzeentchian Thirteen. They already started to cast a spell in unison - all but the Astartes who apparently made it his task to keep the Deathwatch occupied. ~~ Inside Xarxis' Mind ~~ Xarxis found himself in a realm that he knew was not real, but yet. He was here. In an ethereal plane that reminded him of the stasis-sleep back home with the rest of his chapter. But he was not alone... A strong hand grabbed him on the shoulder. It was far oversized for any Astartes he ever had met - or so he thought from the feel of it. Would he be brave enough to face a creature of such statue? < @Uriel1339 @no_one_else @finally_some_Peace_and_Quiet > Xarxis had growled under his breath at the disappearance of Jacen. Emotions - idiocy, mistakes, death of yourself and others. Make a bad situation worse, every time. However, the stormseer was pushed from his mind, as was everything else. He was irrelevant in this coming battle. To spare him a single thought was to tempt misfortune more than battle herself. And even then, the variables can change in an instant. Sorcerers. Unpredictable. And the one thing where his skills and kit were less than ideal. He awoke in the same Ethereal plane that he had dwelled in every time he was allowed into his stasis pod. One might expect him to be in turmoil. He was forced out of battle, his body stunned. And one would expect fear at an unknown touch in such a state. One was not correct. So many of his brothers had died in this very state, that Xarxis had no qualms of this. This was yet a part of him as the coffins of the blood angels. Brands of the Salamanders. No words, no fear. No doubt, no emotion. The Charnel Guard turned to face whatever it was that had invaded his dreams.
An inner struggle raged within the Viceroy as he weighed their options. The brash warrior inside him screamed to simply abadnon their mission and crush Aurelius once and for all. Or perhaps it was just the Thirst, calling him to slake his thirst for blood. But he couldn't abandon his brethren to be culled in orbit while he pursued a blood feud. Golbaz would answer for his crimes, as would Aurelius, but he wouldn't abandon his kin to do so. @Mohax Zuriel placed his armored palm on his blood brothers pauldron, giving a weary smile. "Sanguinius guides our path my brother. We will take this bridge, and bring an end to the corruption of Golbaz." @Avenging-Angel As he spoke with Bruno, it didn't escape the Viceroy's attention that Jacen had stopped following, but Zuriel knew it would be fruitless to try and force him to come. "Khan guide you swiftly to you destiny young one." Upon entering the bridge Zuriel gave a groan of irritation. This may have been the only time he would ask to have less heretics to kill, as every moment spent here was another that Claudius could escape his grasp. @KillTeamPrimus "Lads, if you have grenades now would be the time to use them!" Zuriel barked as he put his helm back on, tossing his frag grenade amongst the Sorcerors before activating his jump pack and hurtling himself towards mass of Tzeentch worshippers OOC: 1 Frag Grenade - 6 hits, AoE against sorceror #2 Crozius Arcanum - 5 hits, ignores 2 Armor, Crozius of the Eighteen Primarchs - 6 hits, ignores 2 Armor against sorceror 4 and 5
Erxandros didn't care that the Khan had left for he was going to have his vengeance his way. With a thought a Sealance flew in the air spinning at the Astartes Sorcerer and it was followed closely by a tossed Krak grenade. " To follow traitor ideals is to be a traitor. " His target as always his target was the leader of the opposed forces. OOC: Sealance Launcher and Krak at the Astartes Sorcerer.
Bargov complied and threw his own frag grenade towards the sorcerers. Following the lobbing of a grenade, he took out his missile launcher and sent an eager missile out to find a target! Attack: frag grenade - 6 hits, AOE against sorcerer #2 Heavy Ordinator Missile Launcher (based on missile) [+2 hits on every missile] - Frag missile, 7 hits AOE against sorcerer #4
@Avenging-Angel Claudius sighed as he looked to Jacen. He then called out, "Golbez is dead, and I have retrieved the Orb from him. I know my actions bring to mind many questions, but I will ask you one first. Would you had done the same if there was a chance to return the Emperor to mankind? This Orb holds the souls of thousands of the galaxy's strongest, to include my own. At first I wished merely to kill Golbez and take back what was taken from me, but now that I know the cause for which it is to be used, it has swayed my mind. The Imperium and its people need there Father back, and if there is but a sliver of hope to do so, then I must. I am sorry for the lives I had to take, but I fully expect the Emperor's first act once returned is to execute me. And that I shall willingly except."
Tul was troubled by Jacens' absence. He wanted to keep a squad whole no matter who was part of it, they were all Emperor's Angels. More pressing matters demanded his attention now however. His doubts and troubles were burned away by the sudden battle lust. "Into the fires of battle!" He let out a Salamander warcry. He threw a frag grenade at the warp dabblers and used his melta to burn others. Frag grenade attack: sorcerer #6 Meltagun attack: sorcerer #8
Eldritch Surface - Webway @matt23 | Jacen stood by his stolen drop-pod, glaring at Claudius when he and his retinue arrived. Keeping his grips on his weapons the Rampager listened to the Ultramarine, a sense of disbelief growing within him. "I would not be insane enough, or the arrogance, to think I could! But enough. You say Golbez is dead and that you have his orb but who are your companions? Golbez' minions or your's?"
