Erxandros took a quick over the download and figures out the sequence of events pretty easily. While he wasn't as bloodthirsty as his mentor this betrayal made him thirst for revenge. His brain said the beat way for that to happen is to gather the resources to his advantage. He look to the nearest terminal to scrapcode the heck out the ship until they can take it. He was going to destroy these traitors one by one if he had to. Without a word he maneuvered himself to be ready for fight.
@TechCaptain Zuriel was silent as he listened to Alderson's farewell, his final sacrifice in service to the Emperor and his kin. "I will honor your memory my brother. We will purge this corruption from the heart of the Imperium. Die well, old friend, and rest at the side of your Father." All the fury at the loss of his brothers, all the rage was directed at the poor crewmen, leading the Kill Team in a vengeful slaughter rather than a true fight. He was betrayed. They all were. How could he have been so blind, to have let a Traitor stand beside him. A kinslayer. The call of the Thirst grew stronger with every moment he dwelt on the fact, in the knowledge that Aurelius had tried to kill near 200 of his kin and caused the death of a man they had both served beside. There was no excuse for this. No explanation. There could only be vengeance. @KillTeam Zuriel took off his helm and pulled down his hood, revealing a face consumed with grief and hate. "We have been betrayed my brethren, and I have been blind to the traitor amidst our ranks. And I swear by the Primarchs I will crush his geneseed beneath my heel before this is done. But our mission remains the same. We will take this ship, and then we will take the fight to Golbaz and his newest minion. Move out Primus!" Zuriel' voice had a savage bite to it as he made his way to the bridge, his only focus on brining this entire ship crashing down on the Ultramarine's head. OOC: Fare thee well Alderson, you died as you lived. Like a badass.
Black Jewel @Keidivh | "No." Jacen knew he was being risky, challenging the team leader in the middle of a combat zone, and foolhardy but some risks had to be taken. "Golbez' fortress has survived two warships and it will likely survive a third. We leave now and link up with your Chapter-brothers on the surface." Jacen planted himself in the middle of the field of ice, his body angled to go back the way they had come, rather than the way to the bridge.
@Avenging-Angel A heavy sigh could be heard from the Viceroy as he turned to to address the Rampager, who was clearly taking a risk challenging Zuriel's authority at a time like this. "We will join my brethren child of the Khan, but we must secure this barge if our fleet hopes to survive. If they tale orbital superiority this battle will be finished, and the Imperium will die. We are taking this bridge, and then we take the fight to Golbaz and the Traitor." He turned to look at the rest of the Kill Team, seeing if any of them had something to add. OOC: If majority wants to go planetside speak up, I won't force taking the bridge
< @Newly_Fractured_Kill-Team > Xarxis had listened to the communications without so much of a twitch of emotion. Emotions caused mistakes. Mistakes were lethal. He glanced between the two arguing of command. "Claudius is a new variable. Unknown, folly to assess now. We know the firepower of this barge. Set the guns against the enemy, extra firepower, increased chances of orbital success. Orbital success leads to advantage on ground, egress. Forget all else for now. Secure orbital superiority." said the Charnel Guard in his same, cold tone.
Bargov spoke up, "We have been betrayed by our supposed team leader! I put my trust into him by doing this in the first place! He has taken our trust, and now our very honor is at stake of being taken by him if we allow him to live!" The Devastators anger leapt forth, "No!! By my honor as adeptus astartes, this will not end with his escape!" The Devastator knew, perhaps even the team knew all along how this would end....."This ends...in blood!" The devastator turned and started for the drop-pod bay, the thunderhawk would be too slow, and vengeance demanded immediate retribution!
"Hold it, brothers!" - Bruno held up his hand - "Do you intend to betray trust of Sanguine Templars? Do you intend to abandon the mission halfway? Do you intend to become traitors yourself? Will you act in confusion, driven by emotions instead of logic, Brazen Claw? Have you not considered this to be a trap, psyker? Get a grip, finish current buiseness first and then we will deal with the traitors as a team." In his mind Bruno saw defenders gathering on the bridge, more heavy weapons, more personel... "The longer we are arguing, the longer traitors remain unpunished, so lets end this quick."
Erxandros shook his head and made his way to the bridge speaking to those behind him. "Whatever you decide do it. I am going to dismantle this fleet." With that he headed to the bridge killing any who dared get in the way of his wrath. Electronics around him exploded in sparks as he passed and his scrapcode transmittal destroyed hardware with a few key commands.
The devastator stopped and just stood there. "If we waste time, he will use it to escape. you are asking me to risk him escaping?!" The devastator turned, "Fine! I'll help you with the damn bridge first!" Bargov approached the sanguine templar and gripped the top of his power armor's chestplate. "But listen here sanguine templar, If Claudius escapes from us while we take this ship, it's on your head!" He let go, and started forth for the bridge instead of the drop-pod bay. OOC: @Mohax | don't worry, not hating on you. just playing the character as being angered from being retribution-blocked.
Black Jewel @Mohax | Seeing Bargov break off from the group Jacen shook his head, taking a half-step after him, before pausing when Bruno spoke. "The orbital battle is pointless, merely a distraction to keep us up here." Paraphrasing what the Angel Sanguine had said Jacen continued. "The longer we are in orbit, the longer Golbez, and now Claudius, have to escape. But if you insist on wasting time then by all means lead the way."
