    ~~ Orbit of Eldritch - Iron Liberator ~~
    @matt23

    "Ready to teleport? We must leave now before the void shields will scramble the teleport coordinates." Dephormatus asked his ironically younger brother, placing a hand on the shoulder of Claudius. How old exactly Dephormatus was, nobody could probably say at this point. His face was old and worn, affected by the soul sucking as Claudius himself. Then there was the natural aging process of realspace and the stress of war. If Claudius would not know better, he could think of the Renegade Terminator to be easily in the same age of the Emperor himself - the natural ugliness of the Ultramarine not helping the slightest in that regard.

    ~~ Orbit of Eldritch - Ferrus Hammer ~~
    @TechCaptain

    Alderson who is quite focused on guiding various torpedos was probably the first to note that the Iron Liberator made a rather questionable move, perhaps the vessel was being boarded or lost control? Because it headed straight for the Boiling Blood in an angle that would both Battle Barges send into the surface, and the fortress of Golbez.

    It was definitely not the gravity of the world, the engines of the Iron Liberator made a conscious push forward, full steam ahead. And with the Boiling Blood's position even evasive maneuvers initiated now would be too slow. The Master of the Forge only saw one logic calculation if he was to save one vessel, which would be the Boiling Blood. He would have to ram with his own vessel into Captain Sion's vessel, overpower his generators for a 150% acceleration boost, sacrificing the Ferrus Hammer with a timed explosion of said overcharged plasma generators and basically catapult the Battle Barge forwards, out of range for the collision course. However if the Ferrus Hammer was to survive the detonation even just in the slightest, the wreckage would be caught in the collision course of the Iron Liberator. With not enough vessels for the entire crew to evacuate and the required staff to ensure the explosions and generators would do the necessary job to save the Battle Barge, an exact 18.7% could be saved - excluding himself as his presence would be required to ensure the Plasma Generators survive.

    ~~ Boarding of Black Jewel ~~
    @Keidivh | @Avenging-Angel | @TechCaptain | @seabass | @BadDo9 | @Wata | @Mohax

    Xarxis opened the battle with his swift movements, however he had to lean more out of the vent than he liked to drop the grenade in the proper angle. He managed to throw it and latch it on the side of the Las Cannon, causing it (and it's gunner) to go up in an explosion, sending their parts all over the place. However, he lost grip on the vent and fell right out of it, face-flat on the ground - to his advantage.

    Because when all the Astartes and Guardsmen noticed the Scout amongst them they primed their weapons at him to annihilate - but that is when Bargov and Erxandros unleashed their heavy weaponry. A Sealance launched forth, crushing through the barricade that the Las Cannon once was mounted on and penetrating an Astartes straight through the head, mounting him on the wall like a trophy.

    Bargov aimed on the Guardsmen, his high velocity Bolter killing six and a half on the spot, other shells further damaging barricades until it protested - the machine groaning in agony and refusing to fire further as it jammed. Bruno suffered the same fate after a single salvo, having obliterated two guardsmen, detonating their chests wide open, but just with four rounds having left his weapon it protested - apparently feeling the agony of his bolter-brother.

    During the heavy fire, bolters, shotguns and las fire came to life. A bolter slug hitting the ground next to Xarxis on this close range, forcing a splinter of the explosive shell right through the carapace and lodging into his left shoulder. His Larraman cells quickly closed the wounds, leaving almost nothing left. Tul was hit right into his chest, but the power armor absorbed the shells, the ceramite protecting him. Zuriel was less lucky as a shell exploded in his chest, sending a shard through a weak spot in his right lower arm, but it would be nothing too grave or too worry about - yet.

    Erxandros on long range was hit by a fully charged hot-shot lasgun, cooking his left hand beneath the gauntlet, but leaving nothing more than a scorch mark on the techmarine's reinforced armor. Bargov and Bruno were left unharmed by the pathetic shotguns and hotshot lasguns.

    Tul, Jacen and Zuriel finally could engage in close combat with Zuriel leading the assault, flying crushing right through the damaged barricades, sending the plasteel all over the place as his Adamantium armor was unharmed. Each swing splitting a skull without much effort. Three men laid dead in the matters of moment around the Sanguine Templar, standing no chance against his ferocity. That left a single, wounded Crewman alive. More were coming as the fight continued, but Tul and Jacen focused on the Astartes to cut the head of the snake.

    Jacen, lightning bolts jolting in his eyes stretched his hand forward, fingers extended wide, unleashing deadly thunderbolts out of his hands. Two Astartes were violently shaking from the heavy electroshocks, a third being burned beneath his armor, but managing to raise his weapon. Tul saw this however and interrupted the foe with a shot of his Meltagun, melting a good chest portion of the Astartes. However, the young stormseer had to admit that he had no full control of his powers as the lightning bolts suddenly dissipated, causing three Astartes to drop dead before him while around him the temperatures dropped immediately into minus degrees, causing the entire room to be covered in frost, but ironically it left the Astartes unharmed due to their power armor and training, while the Crewmen reinforcements shuddered, shivered and exhaled little clouds from the freezing temperatures. Peril of the Warp? More like Blessing of the Warp.

    Pleased by the effects wrought by his magic Jacen strode through the frost he'd inadvertently created, drawing his bolt pistol and moving into a whirlwind attack against the remaining Traitor Marine with both pistol and spear.

  4. Xarxis snarled in his quiet pain and anger about what had happened. Something went wrong, but there was no time to think. Primary target of that attack - lascannon - was destroyed. Minor wound. Little damage, reinforcements. In a swift move of standing, the scout-armored astartes stowed his pistol and slid into the fray of the new guardsman (and the wounded as well), spinning and slicing with his knives.

    Tul noted the psyker moving in on the kill of the remaining traitor astartes. He focused on giving those locked in melee more breathing room, attempting to prevent them from getting overwhelmed. Tul noticed the heavy bolter had ceased firing and Bruno's bolter jammed.
    "Here! I deliver your damnation, scum!"
    At the top of his lungs he shouted to the crewmen, unleashing the melta to burn them. Tul moved in between the enemy and Bruno, trying to buy him time as well.

    "For the Emperor and Sanguinius! Death! Death! Death!" - bellowing battle cry, Bruno charged crewmen reinforcements, Bolt Pistol blazing and Chainsword roaring. Tactical plan was to separate reinforcements from remaining traitors, so psyker and chaplain could deliver them justice without interruptions.

    A roar of zealous rage emanated from the Viceroy as he fell upon the crewmen, near oblivious to the round that exploded in his chest. With the combined might of the kill team it wasn't long before nearly the entirety of the defense was overrun. Jacen proved his worth greatly, felling three of the Kinslayers with his psychic abilities. He wasn't entirely sure if the frost was intentional, but he decided not to dwell on it to much.

    But it seemed the battle wasn't over yet, "It seems these wretches are eager for the Emperor's peace my brothers, let us not deny them!" Charging forward, his zealous battle fervor not having denied out, Zuriel joined his blood brothers assault. "By our Blood, His will is done!"

    ~~ Eldritch Surface - Golbez Throne Hall ~~
    @matt23

    In the blink of an eye Dephormatus and Claudius both stood in a glorious hall, big enough to fit perhaps a titan in here. And standing on the elevated platform could make one really think to stand on top of one. Massive staircases went down at least 50 meters, big enough for a dreadnought to climb them. Perhaps made so that the menials would not dare to even approach their load, as they would be not fit to see their lord by the time they make it to the top. The chamber was eerily empty, only an Astartes sitting in that same armor as all those years ago - or for Claudius not much more than several months. He sat comfortable in his throne, sideways even, lounging in it as his head rested against a pillow placed on the arm, his feet hanging lazily from the other side. If the Ultramarine wouldn't know better, this was a petty ruler.

    "So Dephormatus did complete his task." Golbez started, grinning behind his helmet, not even looking at the Ultramarine, instead looking at the ceiling on which was a glorious painting of himself, fully clad in armor, the moment he retrieved the spherical artifact being told by it. "You have many questions and even revenge on your tongue perhaps." He retrieved the orb from his pocket and rolled it around in his hands. "I assume Dephormatus has told you that I attempt to revive the good Emperor, yes? After all, the Imperium is falling apart ever since he got here. And you know what ironically the gods of chaos send me to stop me? You - the very Astartes who wants to restore the Imperium in such glory that Guillliman himself would be proud! The traitor-slayer, Claudius Aurelius, crusader of the Deathwatch, Exterminator of entire races that failed to kneel to the Imperium. And along with you, they send me Orks after they noticed I swallowed you in the warp! ... Though really it was just buying time to accumulate the strength I needed... You see. The Orb is finally charged with enough energy, after having devoured legendary warriors such as Sariel... Not to forget all those that attempted to kill me, except that worthless child, Xerxes, Sirces or whatever his name was... A scout, pah. But anyway... So Claudius. The Orb is ready but it needs to get in direct contact with the Emperor himself. Yes, that means infiltrating Terra, the palace and getting past the Custodes. But did you know... That the Golden Throne is not an instrument to keep the Emperor alive? Did you rather know that the Golden Throne was built for the purpose of imitating the Eldar's webway? A human webway? To travel through the galaxy without the use of the warp. Alas, Magnus has frakked up and the daemons made it their little playground, invading the palace from there... Well... Rather than bother with the high security of the Custodes, the Imperial Navy and all those other annoyances in the way, I intend to make use of said secret passage... And I need the best Daemonslayers I can get for it - such as yourself." He chuckled and then burst out into laughter.

    "After all... Why do you think I banished you into the warp? To get ready for what comes tomorrow. I trained you Claudius, I shaped you, I prepared you for your destiny, to restore glory to the Imperium by reviving it's rightful leader! Not those petty bureaucrats, ambassadors and puny mortals who care only about their own belongings!" The Renegade Lord spoke with passion, and truth, as far as Claudius' people skills could tell. Then again, this lord in particular was a master manipulator.

    "Dark Angel Mariel." Lansung greeted the Dark Angel, with somewhat of a sour tone, not even rising from his chair, but at least looking up from his paperwork as the Space Marine stepped into his chambers. "I will say no anyway, but feel free to waste your time." The Admiral said with an eerie smile on his lips.
