Bargov looked at the leader, "Oh no! one of those crystals! Oh whatever shall we-FIRE IN THE HOLE!" A frag missile was sent screaming at the enemy astartes, along with a good ol' frag grenade for good measure, with the crystal. They weren't falling for that trick twice!

    @Valonox
Bargov handed Vahn his heavy bolter, its belt was still attached to him so he would have to stay close. "Why don't you put those swords away for awhile and try this out? Trust me, Its Worth it!"

Attack: Frag missile (7) [AOE] + (+2 hits due to ordinator launcher) against Astartes with chainswords
Frag Grenade (6 hits) [AOE] against astartes with chainswords

Action: give vahn temporary possession of Compact suppression heavy bolter. (OOC: Reasonably, its belt is attached to Bargov and cannot be removed. So vahn will have to stay close to him.)

Zuriel was still catching his breath as the final test of this gauntlet appeared before him. Of all of the tests though, this one sat ill with the Viceroy. He had eagerly executed innumerable Traitors over the course of his life, cut down any Xenos that had stood before the Imperium of Man. Yet to be forced to execute someone without interrogating, or without a fair fight went against his honor as a warrior and spiritual leader. This is not justice.

Removing his helmet, and pulling down his hood, Zuriel picked up the key and remained silent, staring at it as he thought of the repercussions of his choice. He had encountered a Traitor who truly repented of his sins and embraced redemption. He had fought alongside Eldar on Barnassus.

Finally he stepped forward, "There is no greater sin than to choose blasphemy. A xenos is born into its wretched existence, but one who chooses to stand against the Emperor and embrace heresy is truly damned." With that said, Zuriel opened the Eldar's cage, sealing the Heretics fate.

    OOC: Freeing the Eldar

@ItsTime & @matt23 | Having watched Zuriel race up the stairs Jacen grinned and turned to Mariel and Claudius.
    "Wish me luck brothers."
With that the Rampager took a breath and just ran, trying to put his feet on the same steps Zuriel had.

Claudius sighed as he watch Zuriel go up and the Jacen run up after. "I suppose we are doing this then. So be it." Claudius held his shield at the ready as he ran up behind Jacen, using his jump pack where he could to help.

Vahn let go of the heavy bolter and armed with his wrist-mounted bolter, switch his power sword to the other hand and pulled his bolt pistol and started firing. "I gave you a chance now you will meet your ends." Ttying to fire on the crystal to make it explode in the leaders hand while charging to the leader. "Your all dead! For the Great-Khan and for my brothers!"

Erxandros chuckled, " Same trick doesn't work twice. " Without warning his tendrils activated his brothers powerpacks in a way that it pulse to the right frequency to disrupt the crystal and he activated his own power pack pulse. He then fired his sealance launcher at the crystal wielder to be sure.

Jacen on the front with the speed of the Great Khan managed to evade all traps, except that his reflex was too swift and his senses heightened too much from the adrenaline that at the dummy-doll, he did hit it with his blade and suffered a close-up frag explosion. Luckily his undamaged armor took most of the hit and he got away with only little wounds.

Claudius however was less lucky and slower, due to his heavier load out through jump pack, power fist, shield and thunderhammer. His feet wouldn't carry him as fast as he wished to and the frustration combined with the fact that the traps had all different timing since Jacen triggered a bunch of them caused the Ultramarine to suffer when he fell into the same pit as Zuriel did. Using the same trick to get out with his Jump Pack, he just moved too slow due to his additional weight compared to the Sanguine Templar. The flames engulfed him and while he managed to use his shield to block most of it, the liquid promethium still managed to heat him up enough to cause burns beneath the armor and upon his flesh. In the end, both prevailed.

They just arrived in time to see Zuriel save the Eldar, dragging him out before the cage fell back into the bottomless pit. Immediately the Alien came to conscious with a deep breath, as if the cage was some sort of stasis field that the Viceroy had interrupted. The Alien was on his fours and looking up to the Viceroy, speaking in low gothic. "I appreciate the gesture... But I fear you had been tricked." The Eldar's skin and even appearance twisted, revealing a Callidus Assassin with Phase Blade attached to the wrist and Neural Shredder in the right hand. The apparent male jumping forwards to ram the blade into the throat of Zuriel. But with his inhumane speed he already showed to possess during his run through the deathtrap, he deflected the blow and slammed the Assassin in a nearby wall. He simply latched onto the wall and slid slowly down, standing now roughly ten feet away from the trio before him. "Three Astartes versos one Callidus.... At least that way it's more fair... For you. Drakan will be pleased when I bring him your heads." He chuckled and flexed his neck.

The Group was apparently surprised when the crystal did not suck the soul essence of Vahn and just failed to actually do anything at all. Combined with the swift action of Vahn and the close range for grenade, Missile Launcher and Sealancer Launcher it was swift death upon the close combat group before them. The crystal dropped to the floor and the only threat remained were the four Astartes which wielded Bolters from the entrance they came initially in.

And while the Astartes with Bolters opened fire they barely hit at all, and if they did the reinforced parts of the trio's armor. It was a flawed fight, but one they would fight to the death like the Astartes they were.

@Keidivh & @Uriel1339 | "By the Khagan! What have you done brother?" Jacen could feel the slight cuts made by the frag grenade as he looked at the shapeshifter and drew his power spear, having sheathed it before dashing up the staircase. "If Drakon wants our heads then he should have come himself."

The shapeshifter was still closer to the eldar it'd masqueraded as than the human it actually was and Jacen paused for a moment before shrugging and bursting into action, swinging his spear whilst drawing on the warp and imagining the creature withering away to a shadow of itself.
