~~ Hunt after Baru ~~ @EvicusDasan1 | @seabass | @Colapse | @York The Astartes-Quad of the Lion's seed went on the hunt together, quickly regrouping at the position of the Drop-Pod, the rest of Sariel's squad went back to orbit to ready for when their commander would call upon them, Vero was kept as special guest just in case there was a disagreement between the Kill-Team and Sariel's orders... Again. Each hunting solo, one for each direction it was Farith who got some tracks. Sariel, Vero and Tellon went completely empty-handed, seeking the burning streets for any trace of the Chaplain without any luck. As Farith started to catch up with his prey he made his way through the deadly streets and around Imperial scouts, they would only get in the way... Baru also appeared to avoid them as there was nobody dead amongst them, not even knocked out, no sign of combat. He was simply running from Sariel and the rest of the Imperium. After ten more minutes of excited pursue, Farith finally managed to hunt the Chaplain down to a warehouse that was evacuated during the first attacks of the Eldar in this region due to the high amount of weapons stored, thus it was completely barren. Tellon, Sariel and also Vero were too far away to call them and the vox could be intercepted by the enemy, so Farith had to risk it... He had to engage him, alone. And it worked! The Angel of Redemption landed the first blow, but the Chaplain was more talented and disarmed the warrior, while keeping his Crozius Arcanum holsterd, a fist-fight ensued immediately. "Are you still blind, Farith Ormand?! It is not I who is the bad guy, I will not fall victim to Sariel's ruse!" (OOC: I let you have a bit back and forth conversation so you can attempt to discern a bit information, but Baru will escape, just the way you rolled, sorry ^^) In the meanwhile... Tellon was alone with Sariel and Vero, having concluded that their search was a dead-end... (@Colapse , @York , @seabass feel free to chat / I will chat in Sariel's name - if necessary, what I believe is the case)
"They served their purpose as am I Lord Zuriel. I think am no child if I survive this war. But the past is the past, it is time to look to the future and be ready to defend anyone against all odds..." Vahn stopped to think then smile "This is what I get for trying to steal food and accidentally kill a shop keeper with his own gun. Fitting don't you think I guess the Emperor saw fit for me to fight along side you all. It truly is an honor to serve along side you all." Vahn relaxed in his seat and looked at Zuriels face the age that defined him. "Hey atleast look on the bright side I only answer to demi-gods and the Inquisition I think that is a pro not a con, wouldn't you say Lord Astartes Zuriel."
Tellon was perturbed to say the least. The chaplain was apparently a prisoner for being suspected of being a fallen. He wanted answers, "While we have time, I am going to get an explanation for this mess." Tellon turned to the Two Dark Angels. "So, Tell me brothers......What was the reasoning behind imprisoning Chaplain Baru of all Astartes? While I have a very probable notion as to the reasoning, I'd rather entertain the small notion that perhaps it is in no relation to....Them." Displeasure was something Tellon showed very rarely, but in this case....Well, It had better be a damn good reason.
"well my master always said i was different" as silva spoke he put his armored hand over the farseers "i will return to my brothers then and see if i can find the forge" with that he let her hand go and started to turn "i shall send you a mesege once i find it, though it would be helpful if i knew what the forge looked like"
Zuriel gave a wide smile and slapped the man on the shoulder, making sure the force didn't kill him, "Ha, I like your attitude Vahn! You made the Emperor proud this day, as did your comrades. To die in his service is truly the greatest honor we can aspire to." He said almost whimsically, the desire for a glorious death practically evident in his eyes. "And please friend, I am no lord. I serve the Emperor. Same as you and any other. I am simply Brother Zuriel." He didn't much care for the title of Lord, it was unfitting for an Astartes. They were the ultimate servants of mankind. He existed solely to protect people like Vahn. It was an honor to serve in such a way. "I look forward to slaying xenos with you my friend. And don't let Claudius get you down, there's a strength in you. There has to too be a sole survivor. Trust me, I know something about that." With that he took out his chainsword once more, and began his ritualistic maintenance of the massive weapon.
Vahn choked up into tears being called friend by a demi-god it was tears of happiness. "Thank you Brother Zuriel you have made my day a little less damaging."
@seabass @York @Uriel1339 "What do you think is the reason Tellon?" Sariel grunted, unhappy with the situation and how the Chaplain managed to slip their grasp. "I had the damned traitor in my arms and I let him escape. Only because I wanted for him to see the error of his ways and repent...Now, that all went to hell. On the Lion's sword, I swear Baru will die by my hand."
"It is such relic, not even I know... It could be anything from a hypercube, to an actual anvil. Given it's purpose I would be not surprised if it's the size of a massive warmachine, I believe called 'Tank' in your language. Have a safe journey, Silva of the Blood Watchmen and the Deathwatch." Norelia said with a nod in agreement and waited for him to depart, or even turn around before she would simply disappear.
"So, Let me spell it out to get a clear picture. Barring that Baru was sent, By the Inner circle, after receiving suspicion about your "aggressive tactics". When you discovered what I assume Must be Irrefutable evidence of him being a traitor, Instead of waiting to capture him either in the field or back at the fleet, you arrest him on an Inquisiton ship?!" Tellon turned to look outward into the horizon of the forge world. "For what its worth Sariel, I do not believe you are a traitor. But nor can I believe that Baru is a traitor, It is simply too coincidental that the investigator is suddenly becoming a suspect." OOC: @Colapse did your alerts finally work? or did you just check up on us and found you had a chance to respond? ^_^
"goodbye for now then" as he spoke he focused his mind and looked for the inquisitors mind and for his brothers minds looking for one in an open area that he could use a portal to reach with no problem and then worked on making a gate of infinity to the location "lets see if the inquisitor is anoyed at me for not telling her where i was going first"
