  1. "I shall stand with you as a son of the Lion." Farith said emotionless as always.

    His motives were his own and none were privy to them save himself.

    "Could there be someone else involved except the marshal, or is there somethingg else hapening" as he spoke he looked at the techmarine "if you want i could try and make us invisible as we go down"

    Alderson stood their thinking for a moment. " Others could be involved. Heck their could be no one living involved. Your spells are not needed yet. Their are other ways in being invisible. I will work on cracking this myself, just guard me please." Alderson dived back into the world of the virtual.

    ~~ Barnassus - Time-Skip Part 2/2! [Days 4-6 out of 6] ~~
    OOC: Some have a final decision before we move on tomorrow or Friday! :)

    Team 1 - Sariel Bodyguard & DA Training
    @EvicusDasan1 - Farith - 18 (Regular Success)

    Team Success: Success!

    Outcome:
    Sariel and the rest of the Dark Angels 5th greatly welcomed Farith Ormand amongst them, having painted his armor back and removed the Deathwatch pauldron he was added to Sariel's command squad and as acting second-in-command, as the prior one deceased on Turm IV, the brave Plasma Cannoneer. On the first day, they trained still in their kill-team like squads and in fact with Farith's guidance he could impress Sariel and sway his opinion of his. Surely he was maybe not as good as Sariel in combat, but he had tactical prowess and intuition.

    On the second day since Farith somewhat abandoned the Deathwatch, the Dark Angels trained without the supervision of Sariel and Farith as they communed and duelled, preparing themselves for the upcoming Eldar fight.

    On the third day, training continued as usual when eventually short before it was time to rest, Sariel came to Farith's room.
    "I see, I can trust you. After talking to the others, especially Chaplain Baru, I have come to admit something, a secret. The fact you laid down the Deathwatch to return to us makes me truly believe that your place within the inner circle of our proud chapter will only grow in depth. But... I have come to learn a horrible truth which I carry. As we all know, we require to redeem ourselves, correct? Well here is the deal... Ever since the arrival on Turm, I have been sabotaged. Almost assassinated, and I think I finally found prove that it is a men within our own rows, a fallen angel. Thus, I hope you don't mind if I rest in your room tonight? We cannot risk to lose the chain of command and have the traitor claim perhaps more than just me. He will be revealed soon enough, but I fear especially that you now came close to me, you may be included in his target list. So let us watch each other through the night, shall we?"
    OOC:
    Agree to Sariel or disagree. There won't be a dice roll of what will happen afterwards, instead this will be classic action & reaction. Let him stay or not, up to you.

    Team 2 - Wasteland Scouting
    @matt23 - Claudius - 9 (Significant Failure)
    @Keidivh - Zuriel - 21 (Regular Success)

    Team Success: Failure!

    Outcome: As if Claudius didn't had enough misfortune with his Jump Pack, when he finally got into the caverns, having even dug with his mere hands, well power-armor protected hands, a way free, he experienced... Turbulences.

    First there was a giant tunneling worm that almost ate him and he escaped barely with his life after two hours of running in this underground maze. Second there was a landslide that almost killed him as his Jump Pack didn't work and pushed him almost in a bottomless pit. And then eventually something bit through a vent in his armor or crawled through a slight crack or something beneath his armor, only to end up throwing a gauntlet off, grab his knife and cut the insect-parasite right out of from the back of his hand. If there were more in his body, he could not tell... Last but not least, he had to spend two of the three days in the cavern system as his geo-location module couldn't comprehend the complex tunnels, especially since they appeared to be shifting due to the giant tunnel-monsters living here. But the worst part was that he did find something, what he was not sure, it only seemed off before any further analysis could be made he blacked out and found himself in front of the caverns.

    Zuriel did reach the top, only to find nothing was there. Nothing at all. No flag of some climber, no sign of Eldar, nothing. The only interesting thing was that the mountain tip was completely flat and that was about it. Having gotten a mysterious message from Claudius sometimes during the dawn of the third day, he had to abort his search and get the Astartes back to the Dawn of War.

    OOC:
    Claudius has -1 Max WL for the remainder of the campaign (leaving him with 8 instead of 9), this world hates you @matt23 xD

    Team 3 - Spec-Ops within Cities & Forge - Decryption of recovered file
    @TechCaptain - Alderson - 22 (Regular Success)
    @lord-watchman - 26 (Regular Success)

    Team Success: Success!

    Outcome:
    Alderson used his accumulated knowledge from Mars to decrypt the file, it took him a while, but it started to work. Once some random patrols passed by, Silva could simply distract them with a simple influence of telepathy, letting them take another route. It took quite a while, but after several hours the file was decrypted. Having returned to the Dawn of War for proper analysis, both Silva and Alderson went over it to cover more details. Quickly it became obvious how the Forge of Vaul was recovered, but not by whom, where it is now, or other important details. The most important paragraph in the diary of an Adeptus Mechanicus member called 'Flight of the Phoenix' was this:
    "Day Fifty-Eight of the comet-like phenomenon. The structure that fell from the sky has finally been identified as a xeno-ship. We recovered a hundred corpses, all showing signs of combat. Weapons used unknown. However, a taint of the warp is left behind, thus we must assume that whatever these creatures use to shield themselves from the warp failed and they were invaded by the creatures of the Immaterium.

    We cannot read any of the symbols, but we found an artifact of quite an enormous size. It basically looks like an oversized anvil, but in reality is something far far more complex... We do not understand it completely yet, but in the following weeks we will learn how to harness it's purpose. The stones these aliens wore were taken in for research. Nobody can know of this and anyone who has witnessed this today shall be memory-wiped, including myself. Perhaps I won't even remember I ever wrote this down. But it matters little. But to whomever reads this:

    They will return to retrieve their artifact, that is why we hide the artifact where it can be researched safely without interference, without an official location, without anyone knowing. Everyone entering and leaving the artifact's research area will be mind-wiped so that nobody will find it but those that work on it. Those that will be chosen to work on this project shall be guided by the Omnissiah's light to it's location."

    OOC:
    Either one of you can share this with the Inquisitor, Fabricator-Marshall or let the rest of the team know. If you let the team also know of this please specify whether Farith (the filthy traitor!) is included in that shared knowledge ring or not.

    Team 4 - History Archives - Transmitting finds to Terra Administratum
    @Vulpas - Regos - 15 (Regular Failure)

    Team Success: Failure!

    Outcome:
    Long-Transit messages may not be unusual for Deathwatch Astartes sitting on an outpost or station and updating one's chapter, or communicating back and forth with other brothers of the Deathwatch but working separately. However. Regos was no common Deathwatch Astartes and especially not if he sends a direct message to Terra's Administratum. One of the operators notified the Inquisitor who let the transmission go, but then confronted the former Salamander.

    "What was that message you sent about?"

    OOC:
    Your choice basically is lying or saying the truth. Same as with Evicus, this will be simple action & reaction. So choose wisely what you say next :)

    Team 5 - Scout within Cities & Forges
    @Avenging-Angel - Athenallas - 20 (Regular Success)
    @seabass - Tellon - 8 (Significant Failure)

    Team Success: Failure!

    Outcome:
    Tellon who reinforced Athenallas appeared to only intimidate all and everything. The Black Templar even had a good trace on what appeared to belong to Eldar, but the Dark Angel ruined the opportunity by having followed a dead end of traces after making the Templar believe he had the better trace.

    Not just that, but in the second night when roaming the streets Tellon believed to have seen an Eldar and charged into an alley, only to trigger an explosion and be ragdolled around. An obvious attempt on his, or Athenallas' life. Too injured to move on, Tellon had to be taken to the Dawn of War, where he and Claudius both were treated.

    OOC:
    Tellon has -1 Max WL for the remainder of the campaign (leaving him with 8 instead of 9), Karma for betraying the Dark Angels strikes back! XD

    Zuriel couldn't help but let out a deep, aggravated sigh after finally returning to the Dawn of War with Claudius, who had suffered significant wounds. Had he not been bogged down, he may have had more time to investigate the mountain. It didn't matter at this point. The top of the mountain was empty, no sign of any Eldar, or any other life whatsoever. Although Claudius did mention some strange looking tunnels. It seemed interesting, but there just wasn't enough to go on! With nothing else to do, he went out in search of his companion.

    "So Brother, that was quite the hike we had there? Not gonna black out on me again are you?" Zuriel joked, hoping to ease any tension between the two Astartes, and calm himself from the missions failure. (@matt23 )

    OOC: At this rate this planet is gonna implode from our collective fail! xD
    Avenging-Angel and Uriel1339 like this.
  7. "Of course brother. I shall allow it. But I will not rest this night knowing one of them is among us. Take the time to rest while I stand watch." Farith said, not really asking him to do so. More of letting him know Ormand would indeed not sleep this night.

    OOC: I will allow it, but I will not sleep.
    Keidivh and Avenging-Angel like this.

    "We did not fail. There is something within those tunnels. Something more than just faint worms. I felt something strange down there, something different before I blacked out. I blacked out deep within the tunnels and woke up outside them," he sighed as he laid on the bed trying to remember everything that happened. He then looked over to the closest apothecary, "Please do scans of my body for parasites. I had to cut one from my body within the tunnels. Just want to be sure of things."

  9. Strike Cruiser - Apothecarion
    @Uriel1339 | Having accompanied Tellon back up to the Dawn of War, grumbling about the other Marine's incompetence, Athenallas used the time he had aboard to get his nose looked at. A lot of the blood had finally hardened over the hole that was now there, as well as painting the inside of his helmet, and the Templar was sick of having to periodically empty his helmet of the liquid.

    Approaching a medicae Athenallas pulled off his helmet, a thin and sluggish stream of blood making his way down the front of his chest plate.
    "I require your skills."

    [OOC: Completely forgot he had no nose until now! Do you think anything can be done?]

    Tellon finally stirred from his explosion induced unconscious state. He finally let his voice out, "Damnation, Did that explosive cause enough damage to have me back on the Dawn of War?" He looked around the Apothecarion to see Brother Claudius nearby and Brother Athenallas being treated aswell.

    OOC: DAMN YOU ROLLING SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    @Uriel1339
    Also, Betrayal? Jeez, what the hell? "Tellon, we sent you to the Deathwatch, knowing that you will be under the authority of an inquisitor! We are ordering you to betray your Oath and turn your back on the organization who have become the ultimate authority second to the Emperor!"
