<Narrative - Team Khereph - 2 minutes later (since prior narration)> Luckily the enemy was not yet in this area of the base and the team did not notice anything special and nothing opposed their way... Yet. Though once they reached the Laboratory which was supposed to hold the experimental Anti-Tyranid weapon, they found it locked. <GM> Whatever action you do here and now, actually happens before the next narrative piece, since they are still running. <Narrative - Team Rollo - 3 minutes later (since Team Khereph arrival at lab #2)> The Long Claw hurried with his massive body and Heavy Flamer, thanks to his Power Armor being not slowed down whatsoever. Astartes were tough, especially Space Wolves. The Blood Angel, being a trained Assault, though had to hold back in his speed to stay on par with Rollo. Similar to team Khereph, they arrived just five minutes later at their designated location. The adepts were indeed within the lab, and upon sight of the Deathwatch team one of them opened the door. "Astartes! Thank you for coming to our rescue! We must hurry to Magos Hex and ensure his safety, although I fear we are all non-combatants and pure researchers, mere novices of our path, therefor I apologize for our pathetic weakness and disgrace to the Emperor." It was obvious to Rollo and Zacharias that these men lost all dignity for themselves while their master was doing his best to secure the data they have helped gathering, analyzing and utilizing.
Zacharius> "Be ready we will move as one" as he spoke zacharius looked at rollo "brother you ready" as he spoke he looked around for anything to help them
<Narrative - Zacharias> Zacharias could see nothing truly special. Just frightened Mechanicus Adepts. He would require to talk to them to find out what bothers them, although he could make a good guess it would be the fear of death at the hand of the Xenos. Upon his order, they nodded in unison and started to form lines of two. They were twelve adepts in total and so they would form 6 rows. In the hallways two Astartes could fit next to each other or three regular humans, but these were Tech-Priests and their Mechandrites forced them to have a similar distance like Astartes to one another.
<Caius> The Techmarine began examining the door and the surrounding frame, looking for something to interact with using his combi-tool.
<Rollo> "I am ready brother, lets go," Rollo nodded, turning on his heavy flamer and preparing himself for battle.
<Narrative> The Imperial standard security system with keypad was identified rather quick. Without the secret combination, Caius would require to open it and bypass the system directly. Considering it was a high security system it could take between one to five minutes, thanks of his combi-tool if he would try to bypass the systems. <GM> The system is challenging (+0) because it is an advanced security system of the Adeptus Mechanicus, not just some standard Imperial system; considering your characteristic for tech-use is intelligence and luckily it is trained you get the full 45 bonus, which means to succeed you must roll 45 or lower. I will handle it though that if you really wanna bypass it, that a success let's you do it quicker, whereas failing will make you take longer, critical failure can cause the automatic defenses to spot an intruder and you may be attacked by a defensive mechanism. I just say this because it's our first mission! ^^ <GM> State where you go and which speed, also please the formation. I.E. Rollo on the tip, Zacharias Rear Guard. Or both of you at front, etc.
<Colapse> Can we go to the extraction with the Adepts and extract them right away - complete this secondary objective even before we save Magos (complete primary)? If so, we shall go and do it, if the Watchman agrees. If not, we shall go to the Main Lab where Magos is located. And lets go, I'll go on the front in case we need to burn the aliens. Normal speed. <Rollo> After the preparations were done, the Space Wolf took the vanguard, readying his flamer for any sudden attack of the Tyranids. Slowly but surely, the team moved towards their destination.
<GM> You can do that, sure. You may assume that a Thunderhawk is already stationed there which was supposed to bring you out. It will automatically land again once it delivered the Adepts to the ship in orbit. <GM> You may attempt to do that.
<Colapse> Okey then, if Watchman is cool with it, I suggest on extracting those Adepts first so we don't get hindered later on with all those humans in tow And then after it, keep advancing towards the primary objective.
