Dihardris was slowed down by a Broadside that got into his way, but a high leap got him above the cannon fired at him, landing on top of the under-slung cannon he drove his Crozius Arcanum into the core of the Battlesuit, killing the Pilot, leaving the Battlesuit useless behind. He shoved it to the side and ran further.

This was enough time for Veritas to catch up - who were together hunting after the Human Traitor-Tau now.

    ~~ Bridge ~~

Korgoth, Ajax, Alionix and Tsu'had were fighting the rest of the group, but Korgoth finally got a moment to break free as Tsu'had took his position. "Take care of the craft, Brother Techmarine. We must destroy the traitors and the Alien!" The Terminator-Salamander ordered, pulping a Kroots head and brain with the bare backhand of his fist.

Korgoth sprinted into the bridge to the main console - which was still easy to access because it was original gothic. The Tau could adapt to a lot, but they never could change the very machine spirit! Although Korgoth quickly realized it was in pain and agony - having noticed that it was hijacked and touched by the Aliens hands. The quickest way of destruction of this craft was the self-destruction mechanisms and it would release the machine spirit from it's agony.

To take the craft back was pure insanity once he checked the life scanners. Too many alien life-forms. They would need half a company of Astartes to purge them all... A quick message was sent to all nearby Imperial Ships with their coordinates and the Inquisition codes. The nearby Black Strike Cruiser which was theirs replied immediately and headed out for their position.

"Self-Destruction in T-3 Minutes." Korgoth simply broadcasted and brought his Axe around, casually striking a Fireblade that charged into him down. Making his path for the Hangar. "Alionix, Ajax, Tsu'had - We must go. I suggest that Ajax and Alionix go after Dihardris and Veritas. My calculations say that Tsu'hads Terminator armor and my own damage may slow us too much down and cannot make it back to get them and to the hangar, we shall meet there."

The Battle-Brothers nodded and split up into two groups. Tsu'had and Korgoth heading back to the hangar, slaughtering their way through the Kroot Hordes while Ajax and Alionix finished off the remaining foes on the bridge, then sprinting after their leadership.

    ~~ Hangar ~~

Lingren moved to the side of Jaeger and provided fire support with his Bolter - Striking several incoming enemies down as they tried to make their way inside. Jaeger took cover and just reloaded into a Plasma Missile, coming around and directly firing it into the Broadside Battlesuit that positioned himself there - Firing his underslung weapon. It came straight into Jaeger short after he fired his missile which headed for the core of the Tau Suit - Melting it's shell and content, killing Pilot and destroying suit.

Jaeger on the other hand got a direct hit on his chest from the Plasma weapon - ruining his Aquilla and throwing him into the air, making him crush into one of the Valkyries - creating a huge bulge into it. The man had a hole in the size of his head in his abdomen - Not giving into death he reloaded his Missile Launcher. "I will take you with me, XENO SCUM!" He roared, firing a wild barrage of missiles of whatever missiles were grabbed by the Auto-Loader system.

The missiles crushed into Tau, Hulls and more. One of the Krak Missiles blocked one of the side entrances, more Frag Missiles obliterated Xenos Scum before his body gave up for good. Lingren could do nothing - Even if he could treat him, he was in an as good as unreachable area.

But the Gene-Seed! Blazing Fire drove the enemies into the hangar - into Lingrens fire. Having the enemy basically between two fronts they were quickly taken care off. Tsu'had guarding the entrance with his Terminator armor now and Korgoth taking care of the other side.

"Jaeger has passed away vigorously - Cover me while I retrieve his gene-seed!" The two Deathwatch Marines nodded and performed as asked. The Gene-Seed Removal was quick and effective, being quickly stored in the Valkyrie - along with the wounded Kill-Marine who refused treatment.

OOC: I will finish it tomorrow.

    ~~ Hangar ~~

The fight kept on going, the self-destruct timer was hitting 2 minutes, 15 seconds.

    ~~ Team Veritas ~~

Alionix and Ajax finally grouped up with Veritas and Dihardris as they were slowed down by a fire barrage of Tau Fire Warriors. Through cover and grenades they were taken care off just when Alionix and Ajax arrived. Their shields were held high and they moved onward, Veritas throwing Warp Fire behind them as Kroot Hounds came - instantly incinerated.

Dihardris spoke litanies of purity and rage among his brothers - In fitting tone to purge the Alien. Eventually they met the Traitor-Human in a briefing room, enough to fit a hundred Humans. The Crisis suit was on the other side, Ajax and Alionix now guarding the outside as Veritas ordered them to leave him to himself.

Dihardris moved inside along with Veritas who stepped inside first. "Why are you doing this? Betraying the Imperium! Betraying the Emperor! Betraying your very existence?!" The Librarian demanded to know and was met by laughter of the Crisis Pilot.

"Because, Librarian, the Tau Empire is superior. They travel without the perils of the Warp. They create new weapons and machines, based on Imperial Technology! They even managed to take this ship and use it to their own advantage! The Imperium of Mankind will fall at the hands of the Tau. A Grand Scale Invasion Fleet is ready to invade the Imperium from an angle they never ought they would have to fight much for! The Segmentum Pacificus is nothing but a stronghold for the upcoming operations. Jericho Reach is nothing against this, Librarian! And you! Are! Too LATE!"

His Fusion Blaster rose and emitted a blast aimed at the Librarian who was pushed away by the Chaplain - The blaster hitting his right lower arm instead and cutting it clean off along with the Crozius Arcanum. Biting his lips bloody without even whimpering the chaplain leaned down and grabbed his instrument with his left hand. "YOU MAY TAKE MY LIMBS! BUT NOT MY LIFE! FOR IT SHALL BELONG TO THE GOD EMPEROR AND FATHER GUILLIMAN! YOUR DEATH IS SURE - ALONG WITH YOUR MISBEGOTTEN XENOS SCUM!!!" He roared loud and charged straight forward.

Outside Alionix and Ajax could be heard growling and screaming - fighting against the hordes of Tau. They were caught in a trap - aimed to slaughter all four of them.

Veritas rushed forward over a long left flank with his sword drawn, while Dihardris rushed straight forward - gaining most of the attention of their opponent. The Crisis Suit saw the move coming and rose his Cyclic Ion Blaster towards Veritas in attempt to slow him down - but the former Watchman truly did not know fear. He had faced worse than this! Keeping his route up, he reached the Crisis Suit and attempted to ram his sword into the Fusion Blaster, but missed.

The Crisis Suit rushed low above the ground with his jetpack, almost skimming above the ground. Dihardris missed also as the Suit was surprisingly fast. Though Veritas channeled his powers and mind - emitting an enormous Lightning Bolt of pure will into the System, crushing it's Fusion Blaster which was about to fire. The Ion Blaster started to punch through the Armor of Dihardris - Though his faith was his shield and his Anger his weapon! A huge leap was made and the Crozius Arcanum got stuck in the right upper-shoulder. Unexpected the broken Fusion Blaster came around, punching through the chest and pulping his primary heart.

Despite his indomitable faith or perhaps because of it, he forgot the simplest rules of Warfare. Angered by the loss of another brother, Veritas charged forward. "DDDIIIEEEEE!!!" And just as if his will stunned the Crisis Battlesuit, his charge succeeded. "WHY WON'T YOU MOVE?!" The Pilot screamed in fear as his battlesuit didn't even want to fire. It simply shutdown either through system error or actually caused by Veritas. His Sword made it through the alloy of the Crisis Suit, through the pilot chamber and killing their leader.

As if their morale was simply broken - The Tau stopped their assault. "Ajax! Dihardris is mortally wounded, carry him! Alionix! Clean the way! We go to the hangar and escape from here!"

Their leader just announced as the clock hit one minute left. The Tau - apparently also becoming aware about the self-destruction mechanism as the ship was covered in dark-red lights and sirens started to run for all different hangars - except the one defended by Lingren, Korgoth and Tsu'had.

The Chaplain whatsoever was not dead as Veritas thought - Just critically wounded. Ajax carried him with both hands - having weapon and shield holstered on his back - moving between Alionix and Veritas.

It seemed the enemies were avoiding the trio as they pushed their path through the ship, and whomever was stupid enough to be in the way got either pierced by Alionix weapon or pulped by Veritas Psyker powers. With just twenty seconds left, Veritas, Alionix, Ajax and Dihardris arrived at the hangar where the others held point.

All hurried into the Valkyrie which was powered and running by the wounded Kill-Marine - the Tau commander still silent and restrained in the center of it. The hatch closed and the ship left.....

Just enough distance was built up to be not instantly incinerated by the massive explosion the Ship they just escaped from created. The little Valkyrie was shaking, vibrating, being almost completely out of control. But with Korgoth as Co-Pilot now and his systems directly plugged into the machine he guided the Machine Spirit into safety. Dihardris got his helmet removed and treated by Lingren on the floor, while Veritas was simply staring at the Tau Commander.

Ajax helped Lingren in anyway he could - after all he had an oath with this Son of Guilliman. After just a few minutes, a well known ship to Kill-Team Lightbringer arrived... But also something else they became witnesses off. They were close enough to see the space station that would had been their target, the Headquarters of the Tau... It was not just a Space Station, it was enormous. It was mixed of all sort of ships... Imperial Frigates, Tau Cruisers and Warships, even a Kroot Battlesphere was among them and more... The Traitor was not lying. A grand-scale invasion was prepared behind the Imperium to drive the Greater Good finally into the heart of the Imperium.

And terrible enough the Imperium was truly busy... The 13th Black Crusade, The Third War for Armageddon, Jericho Reach and many more Campaigns... To defeat this fleet would be the true next big challenge of the reigning Imperium of Mankind.

"I think we will need some of Krauz' older friends to stop this Invasion." Veritas said, crossing his arms across his chest.

    ~~ Unknown Craft ~~

"Are we ready to operate against the Tau?" A male voice asked the huge statue to his next. "I told you all I know about their tactics and technology, Marmaroth. If we are not ready now, then we are never. But I am quite surprised by the means of travel you chose." The other man replied, his Cybernetic Eye studying the Black Strike Cruiser and the Xenos Fleet.

"Is there a problem with my craft, Sirius Jules of the Sons of Guilliman?" The Female voice replied strong, but in somewhat playful matter, the Apothecary turned around and bowed with his head slightly. "Of course not, Farseer Macha of Biel-Tan. Just keep in mind that we do this in Krauz name and to stop the Tau from being used by the Warp. At least if Marmaroth and you are both correct that is."

"Doubts - Old Friend? That doesn't suit you. Also don't forget that I got you off Macragge not just to work with the Eldar. Greater things are at work... Things the Primarchs even know and share to a few men of the Imperium." Marmaroth reminded the Apothecary who just sighed and nodded. The 'Reborn' child of Sanguinius was right. The only thing that was still open is how Krauz would know all this... And how indirectly he prepared this Kill-Team for this. Everything was in place, just the outcome... Remained open.

I'll restrain from quoting myself, but I just wanna say:

Iron-bound and unshakeable, the Kill-Team Lightbringer stands together. Blood-brothers eternal, may they forever be remembered as the RP's finest!

I am planning a new Deathwatch with lots new stuff. It will have almost none rolling stuff and even then it will be a very light and (imo fair) system.

    First of all:
I will put a cap on 5 players in order to have a handful but active people and so that we don't end up waiting on one another all the time.

    Second:
    No fanon chapters.
If there are chapters mentioned in lore like the Sons of Guilliman or the Black Crusaders or Warrior Adepts or Tarantulas, that is enough. Just have background of the chapter ready, because I take this stuff serious.

    Third:
    NO BLACKSHIELDS
. They are meant to be super rare, I will keep it that way. Certain sources LITERALLY state that a Watch Captain rarely sees more than one in his entire lifetime.

    Fourth:
EVERY mission gives rewards but there are pre-made reward trees from which you will progress (stat & item wise). There is still a lot of freedom of the upgrades and abilities.

    Fifth:
    Special Abilities
like Deran introduced will be around too, but they are only usable once per mission and will recharge after mission.

    Sixth:
There will be time jumps between missions plus summaries what happened in the meanwhile to make the Deathwatch Team have more serving time

    Seventh:
The Deathwatch Team will be made out of Sergeant or equivalent characters only. This means your characters even from mission #1 on have a lot of experience on their back.

    Eighth:
The available classes are split into 2 categories. 'Basic' which are the main killy killy units and 'Specialists' which are less effective at killing but MAY allow special things to occur during missions and aid in unique ways. This will require all players to cooperate accordingly to their strengths. Also there will be only 1 player per class. This means no 3 tacticals and 2 assaults or so.

    Ninth:
    The classes are:
    Basic:
    Tactical
    Assault
    Devastator
    Scout

    Specialists:
    Apothecary
    Techmarine
    Librarian
    Chaplain

    Tenth:
If you join, make sure you can regularly post. I know there are many other RPs and you are participating in many. Please, consider joining ONLY if you have time to post at least once a day. Besides amount of posting, I also expect some degree of consistent quality.

    Eleventh:
The purpose of this Deathwatch Kill-Team is to be an Elite Alien Destruction Team. There won't be much research of hidden stuff, etc. Also it will focus MORE (not exclusively, but more) on unknown aliens that may be a danger to the Imperium. This means you will most likely fight (and perhaps ally; at least temporarily) with species that have been not encountered yet. Rather than fight the usual Orks, Eldar, etc. Though you can expect to meet these too, but simply less.

    Twelfth:
    No Heretics.
We will go full anti-alien force here. Daemons might play a role, but no Renegade or Heretic Marines.

    Thirteenth:
    Any Questions?

    Fourteenth:
Oh yeah. Start is predicted Sunday, latest Tuesday. (Depending on how soon I get the reward trees done, though the item-reward tree is as good as done and the Stat-Tree will be faster anyway)

    Fifteenth:
NO DARN PVP. Your guys are all veterans and experienced. I expect them to be so veterancy that even a Raven Guard and White Scar are capable of getting a mission together done. They may not exchange a darn single word, but they ain't hit one another. Neither would they provoke one another without a GOOD reason.

    Sixteenth:
This is the only other RP I will GM besides feudal world. I have set a personal limit of four RPs: 2 to GM, 2 to be part of as player.

    Seventeenth:

Also since it was inquired already regards Requisition:

Before each deployment every player gets Points that can be spent in the armory. Players can pool their points together to get a bigger item for someone else.

if you go full ego or teamwork is on your own. But it also can help to make leftover points useful. But also it may be useful to get better vehicles or vehicle upgrades. I.E. instead of a Rhino you may upgrade to a Razorback (better armor, etc.) or instead of each only getting a bike, you may get a tank instead or so. It all depends mission to mission.

I am quite inspired here by the Deathwatch PnP book because I like it. So whatever you unlock in the trees is your Standard gear which requires no additional cost for you. So just because you are a Devastator who took the Heavy Flamer as standard weapon doesn't mean you are never ever able to claim a Las Cannon yours.

There is no fixed price or available points, because that can vary strongly due to availability. Imagine you get to a barely supplied Deathwatch Station because primary use is research. Then you might have less points and/or certain weapons may cost more.

So just because a Las Cannon cost 10 points in the first mission, doesn't mean it's going to cost 10 points again in the next mission ;)
    Xaphen and DeranVendar like this.

Can I claim a class? Like the Assault. Also about the blackshield, I think you should have that class as a reserved for people who you think can play it right/ you allow. Unless you are continuing a story that goes back 855 pages, I think this watch commander would see one now!
