Linkin, taking the time to avoid or go around as much sentient/moving beings as he could makes his way to the room designated as "main generator hall." He pokes his head quickly in the doorway to see who/what is inside, while keeping the rest of his body and his weapon ready behind the reinforced wall. OOC: Can I get an equipment update on what Linkin got from the manufacture room?
OOC: Sure, 2 Melta Bombs, 2 Frag Grenades and full Kraken ammo for your Bolter Nothing can be spotted, alive or dead... save for the walls. Also it seems this was truly the heart as at the end of the corridor he could see now 3 signs. One pointing in his direction "Testing Grounds" one straight ahead further eastwards "Main Generator Hall" and one leading to north stating "X--- Chambers". On the "X--- Chambers" sign it seemed as the following 3 letters after the X were removed.
Linkin readies his bolter, the signs all pointed to one thing: he was out of the simulation. He raised his weapon and switches his bolter to fire kraken rounds and continues forward in the direction of the main generator hall.
Stevanus peered through the hole in the door, his helmet sensors not picking any kind of movement, nor anything out of the ordinary, except for the tube in the middle of the room. He then walked through the hole, but when he passed through, he waited until everyone joined him. While others examined the room, Stevanus spoke to the squad in hushed tone: "Brothers, while we were walking down the corridor, an idea came up to my mind, on how to fight these Skitarii. We know that they are half human half machine, and that they will use every fight from now on to improve and adapt to our tactics while watching us fight. Therefore at one point, after enough battles, they will learn all there is and we won't be able to kill them." Chaplain continued "So to combat this threat I propose this: next time we fight, do something they won't expect - if you fight in melee and you see an opening, do not strike, but evade!". Other brothers looked confused, but he continued "Do the illogical thing! So their brain won't be able to create an equation and they won't be able to anticipate our next move. Therefore, they won't be able to adapt any longer, and any edges they had in battle, WILL BE LOST!" Chaplain growled! He turned around the room, noticing the 4 ways out. "What do you say brothers, that we split up? That way we can cover more ground, and increase our chance in finding whoever is responsible for all of this, and end his life!"
As he walked down the hall a female scream in the direction of the "X--- Chamber" came out, but no enemies so far in his sight, as if everything was a trap just set for him, giving him no indication if it is safe to proceed or not.
"I don't like the idea. Two brothers are already missing and communication is jammed and non-functional. However I would take my chances with you by my side any day, so two parites of two brothers each might actually work. Oh, and I'll try to use this" Nathaniel shook his Bolt pistol somewhat clumsily. OOC: My character was supposed to be the silent type, but too many players are missing and the dialogue has to go on. I already spoke way more than I planned to. So (for roleplaying purposes) please address me direcly more often. That way I would have a reason to speak and maybe even try to crack a joke now and then. I am still a blood-thirsty fanatic though
temestus looked at the chaplin for a while then spoke "i advice the split in formation though i say we send the apothicary with the tactical and devestator, i need to cheak something so i will go alone" as he spoke he took the door on the right of the hole he had cut "we need to complete this mision no matter the cost"
Linkin, sensing that this way was proceeding way too easily, stopped. Why would a bunch of machines needed signs? Especially when there weren't any before in the vents or the hallway? His first instinct was to turn back, to resume his one astartes assault on the false Library. But the cry from one of the test chambers stopped him. Releasing whatever might be inside may be bad for him, but it'll also be bad for the controller of this facility. At worse, a carnafex storms out and kills him instantly, but it may provide an large enough distraction for the rest of his kill-team to neutralize the control center. He heads over to the X chamber, knowing that the next few moments of his life might be his last, and also potentially be the day he released an uncontrollable threat to mankind into the galaxy. Still he walks over and looks at the observation window into the chamber, switching the bolter to use hellfire rounds as he peers in carefully.
Linkin, walking towards the Chambers doesn't meet an enemy and therefore manages to peer in without interfering of anyone. Having managed to get this far he sees a Servitor having nailed down a female Tau on a metal table, with an attached saw on a 5th arm approaching the womb of the Tau, about to cut her into pieces. The rest of the room is relatively simple.... white clinic and sterile walls, a few empty stasis capsules on the south-wall, the single metal table in the center and another door at the end of the room behind the metal table. On the opposite side of the Stasis capsules were even more, but their glass being blocked by ice so that Linkin cannot see what may lie within them. Other than that he could see on the ceiling cameras and the same kind of turret socket he saw in the secret chamber within the Library of Ptolemy.
