There must be a reason you carry it instead of a normal Crozius Arcanum of your honored rank." The Black Templar spoke, not a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"That is all I wanted to hear brother" nodded Chaplain and the pulled his axe from the scabbard. He took a hold of it for a second, looking like he was gauging its weight and then offering its bone-white shaft to the Templar. "When I was young, I loved to duel my brothers on Cretacia. I was arrogant and foolish, thinking that no opponent could best me. I even had an impressive record in duels won" he laughed. "But then, I fought my Chapter Master who put me back in place. This axe you see was a reward for my vanity, usually given to young marines such as I, to show them their worth and place in the Chapter. It is a mocking gift, because to cut the story short, it was originally given to the Founder of Flesh Tearers because of the same reason - to mock him and his arrogance". Stevanus thought for a moment before he answered, "Why do I carry it now? It reminds me of my past, of my origins. It tells me that even the strongest may fall to the temptation of glory and fame. So I keep it as a reminder never to become weak in soul, thinking that there is anything in this universe more important than doing the Emperor's will".

Just as he got to the door, he stopped and turns his head slightly, "You seem like one of the... more trustworthy astartes on this team, so here's a gift. You put a little too much weight to your right, it exposes your lower left side just enough for an accurate shooter or a quick opponent to exploit." With that the Swordsman walked out of the room, leaving the Stevanus to his thoughts. Taking a side passage, the Black Templar headed to the hangers. Upon arriving there, he stopped one of the passing servitors, which pointed him to the proper craft that will be utilized for the mission. As it was still being fitted out, the Swordsman walked to it, turned an leaned against it, watching for the squad to arrive. With arms crossed he reviewed the weaknesses of each member in his mind again, and figures the psyker should be the most problematic out of all of them should a fight ensues. He hadn't fixed all of the flaws of the chaplain, but rather just pointed out the biggest one that he could use himself. As he stood there and stared, he could feel the energy from his own weapon, hemming for the death of the Emperor's enemies. The Swordsman began to recite the litany of hate and his vows in preparation for the next mission.
