Chaplain slowly got up on his feet and helped Nathaniel do the same. Then he turned to Cassius who kept firing at the creature. "He is Blood Watchman, but if you want to know why is he doing it, make sure he survives this, so you can ask him afterwards!"
OOC: Sorry for late post, work called ~~ Hive Ship - Inquisitor Krauz - 1031 Local Time ~~ Krauz eventually dropped, not able to maintain his strength, collapsing on the flesh-floor, drifting into the nothingness of his mind as if a logic machine was just turned off, so did he. It almost made no sound when he dropped, his hammer still in his right hand, gripped tight as if he would not let it go, not even unconscious. Noctis' Plasma projectile slowed the Tyrant Guard down and melted it's face off, including it's main brain. But the secondary brain in the inside was working, it would not last long but the Tyrant Guard managed to bodycheck Noctis and press it's claw violently into the chest, driving it deep enough to get through the armor and drive just the tip into the flesh, before the Guard collapsed on the Pistol swinging Devastator, it's massive weight starting to crack the armor and driving the talon just even deeper into Noctis. Stevanus and Nathaniel, back on their feet, had to realize their weapons had almost no effect unlike the Bolter of Cassius and the warp-engulfed blade of Tempestus. Hit after another the Hellfire Rounds burned into the Tyrant, eating him inside out, one eventually hit the Tyrant in the eye, bringing him to fall. In a clean and swift move Tempestus cut the Tyrant's head off and moved forwards to the Norn Queen, knowing about her deadly venomous tentacles, which reached out to him once he just got close enough for them. Just as it was about to hit him he moved to the side and cut it off clean, another reached out, also gone in less than a second. The Norn Queen screeched in pain, but it had no use as Tempestus deployed the charge, the detonator in his hand, making a minimum distance before blowing it up. As an earthquake across the void occurred the Hive Ship started to shake, the loss of the synapse across the whole Hive Fleet even affected the Hive Ship and with the Hive Mind's effect gone, also the Communication devices came back to life. "THUNDERHAWK ALPHA ZERO TO KRAUZ! THUNDERHAWK ALPHA ZERO TO KRAUZ!" The Deathwatch heard over their vox-channels, loud and clear. "IMMEDIATE RETREAT RECOMMENDED!" It had been the same pilot that had been deploying the Deathwatch since their first mission, the first time they heard the pilot though in what seemed worry. ~~ Planet Ruvorn - Jandra - 1031 Local Time ~~ Just as the Tyranid Warrior was to bring his claw down to Major Farrenheim it stop and fell, suddenly the Tyranids around started to slaughter eachother. "What.... What is happening?" She asked but quickly realized what occurred. "THE DEATHWATCH! THEY DID IT!" She grabbed the Vox Operator nearby. "MAJOR CASEY FARRENHEIM TO ALL FORCES, ATTACK! THE HIVE MIND IS GONE! I REPEAT, ATTACK THE TYRANIDS FULL FRONTAL! DRIVE THEM OFF RUVORN!" And a huge hail of glory and pride occurred among the few hundred survivors in the depth of Mount Ruvorn, with the bit ammo and rifles left they had they started to kill the Tyranids who turned from killer machines to savage beasts. ~~ Planet Ruvorn - Heraldis - 1031 Local Time ~~ Colonel Steiner held the Chainsword of Bern Triades, just having cut another Tyranid head off as he noticed the shift in battle, the Tyranid onslaught stopped. They started to fall over eachother and gobble their former allies up. With the Chainsword of his fallen Imperial Brother he led the attack forwards. "FOR THE DEATHKORPS! FOR HERALDIS! FOR RUVORN! FOR THE GOD EMPEROR!" The young man yelled and from the Governor's palace they launched their counter-attack. A few thousand men, all that had been left of the Deathkorps and global PDF, with Steiner being the last surviving officer. Unlike in the prior Tau Invasion, this time he would have earned the title of a hero, though even then, he would decline it and give all gratitude and respect to Bern Triades who sacrificed himself and his Baneblade to save his and his mens life. But what would always stay with him, was that the General of the Deathkorps never had a moment of doubt, not a moment of despair, not a moment of fear. And he would make sure that every man of the Imperium he would meet would know of that man, Bern Triades, General of the Deathkorps, one of the finest men the Imperium ever had and died while performing his duty. ~~ Planet Ruvorn - Fields of Heraldis - 1031 Local Time ~~ Just when the Hive Tyrant fought with the Necron Lord it stopped moving, Shin instantly knew what happened. Just as the Tyranids started to be desintegrated and take on the Necrons, the Hive Mind has fallen. The Necrons at least were reduced by half somehow by the Tyranids, it seemed their Bio-Plasma was even against the Necrodermys efficient, though it took them roughly ten thousand Tyranids to get two Necron Warriors down. The Tau Scavengers on the other hand all died and Shin knew they did for their homeworld, having died by the hands of the Necron Warriors as one after another was shot. Shin though, having been focused on getting the Tyranids with the help of their leader into the Necrons survived as his plan worked out. Now it had been only roughly twenty Necron Warriors and their Necron Lord. Apparently that it was all that was left as other reports from orbit command came in, reporting that the Orbital Presence of the Necrons had been destroyed as it was only two ships. Whatever Tombworld was on Ruvorn, it was tiny or completely burried. Nonetheless Shin Zhu knew the Tyranids may have fallen, but the Necrons in latest an hour would fall over Heraldis.
Noctis pushed the Tyrant Guard off, then stumbled to his feet. He made his way over to Krauz still stumbling. Noctis noticed Krauz was no longer conscious so he holstered both pistols and lifted the Inquisitor into his arms. "No man left behind." He muttered quietly. He turned to the others. "We must go, now."
With the death of the Queen the whole ship started shaking. They did it. Against all odds, they did it. Chaplain was satisfied. The Emperor was with them that day. He was on his feet, wounded and covered in gore, but new strength poured into him. Lightbringers brought illumination to the misguided aliens and Stevanus was pleased. "With eternal fire that is our ZEAL, did we destroy the cursed xeno. But we shall not fall now!" Chaplain turned to his Blood Angel brother "Nathaniel, help our brother Librarian if he is still "confused". Rest, to the Thunderhawk!". The comms went back on and he could hear Pilot calling out to them. "This is Chaplain Stevanus. We are extracting! HOLD TIGHT!" They quickly ran out of the room, Cassius at the front leading with his bolter...
Tempestus sheathed his sword and shouted at his brothers "go Il cover the rear" as he spoke tempestus picked up the inquisitors hammer "run now"
OOC: Gotta head home, will post later, seems like we will be able to finish the mission tomorrow ; will also put a post up what happened to Sirius ^^
Shin Zhu opened a vox with orbit, connecting directly using the comma tower back at the capital to reach orbit. "Any ships in orbit still intact, this is Shin Zhu of Deathwatch. We need immediate orbital for support to destroy the necrons. Sending coordinates for the necrons forces, need immediate lance strike now." The Ronin vox the coordinates and the message towards orbit to anyone.
~~ Planet Ruvorn - Fields of Heraldis - 1032 Local Time ~~ "Hammer of Faith speaking, copy, Deathwatch Astartes Shin Zhu." Was quickly replied and the coordinates were fed, the orbital cannons aiming. "Need to move in fire position, update coordinations in T-1 minute, Astartes." The same man replied to the Ronin. Picking up the vox-channel the Necron Warriors and the Lord turned in unison to Shin and marched straight to him.
Shin Zhu understood, and raced the assault bike around to avoid to the necron fire, while striking where he could at the edge of their units. He needed to keep them in place for the lance strike to come down, but he couldn't risk losing his only means to escaping the blast. He focused his skill upon manuvering the assault bike, knowing that if it was struck and broken, then he too would die.
