The Skitarii stops moving, calculates the input and then approaches the group of Deathwatch further. "You are our captives, please follow us to the leader where you will be interrogated." The heavy flamer of the apparent leading Skitarii now producing a thin flame at the tip, ready to burn down any meatbag that will stand in his way. Linkin moved south-wards as he came from north from where he is right now. In total he was south-east of his team as the vent he initially fell in was in the south-west of the elevator and then moved south from there. Little did this Skitarii know that before him stand no ordinary "flesh bags". Borther Nathaniel engaged his jump pack for maximum force and threw himself forward with all his might screaming "DIIIEEE!!" What was left of the first guard were pieces of flesh and cybernetics flying around in a red mist. Few of his comrades fell on the ground pushed by the charging Astartes, but none of them took any serious damage. OOC: I hold my actions until the others have a chance to act. Moving quicker than the Skitarri could react Alviss fires his plasma pistol into the chest of a second one annihilating it. "We must avoid getting stuck in combat," Alviss calls out the the rest of the squad,"it will only allow them to bring up more reinforcements. This way." He then turns and begins running down the westward passage.
OOC I murdered the leader with the flamer. Can we accept that you killed one of the others for continuity's sake?
The first skitarii died where he was through combined efforts, the 2 directly behind him fell down but allowed the other ones engaging the Blood Angel with their heavy flamers, just a bit smaller than those of Terminators. "We know how you fight, there is no chance of survival for your kind." the Skitarii said which activated his flamer, along with every other Skitarii around as if they are all working at the same time. The sounds became louder from this direction and a squad of Skitarii engaged Alviss shortly from north after he made his way to a three-way intersection. Bolter rounds flying towards the Astartes from the Heavy Bolters they wore, seemingly modified versions of Devastator equipment.
Linkin stopped walking as a realization set in. He quickly crouch down and pulled out the three krak grenade on him. He quickly clustered them together and wrapping them into one using some extra rope from his harness. With the improvised breaching charge completed, he strapped it to his right side at ready, only needing to take it out, set it against something and pull the pin in order for it to be of use. He continues a little more quickly towards the direction had been heading in, bolter ready. His eyes always darting between the way forward, back for the slightest hint of light, and also to his auspex for any sign of increased temperature in the vents as well as the heat sensors of his immediate areas.
Alviss quickly shoots of a couple plasma shots at the frontrunners of the Skitarii squad. Then just before they return fire he activates the flamer in his servo-arm, immediately dodging to side under the cover of the flames. He then begins to head south knowing that to actively engage the enemies superior numbers would be suicide.
To the Red Scorpions' luck he had figured out what the vents were, nothing but incineration chambers, heat signature came in from both sides front and back in this seemingly one-way tunnel. But he at least moved far enough to have around 30 seconds before the flames would reach him. The first Skitarii gets a burst of plasma pistol right in his face, melting through the head and killing the only biological thing left, his brain. The other Skitarii push their dead brother away and fire with their modified Bolters upon the running Astartes, not caring about the Promethium that caused their robes to incinerate upon them.
Linkin quickly pulls the krak grenade/breaching charge out and places it on the ground against the vent's wall on his right. He pulls the pins on all three and sprints back (towards the north), just enough to be out of the blast area, a number he had memorized from blowing things up countless times. As the explosion occurred he could see the flames rushing in from the northern end of the vent. He sprints towards point of explosion as soon as the blast subsided, not even letting the dust settled first. The Red Scorpion dives through the opening that it made just before the flames rushing up from the south side incinerated him. Prone in this new area, he only lifts his head up to look around, not daring to even sit up as the flames might still rage over him out of the opening from the incineration vents.
