Nathaniel used a Vox panel on the wall to call a servitor. The being came swiftly, offering every Astartes and the Inquisitor a chalice full of red liquid.
"I took the liberty to ask for a sip of blood wine before this important mission." Nathaniel raised his chalice, enjoying the confused looks of everybody else.
"Brothers, it is true honor to be with you today. Let us remember the fallen Alviss, Linkin and Varius." he let a drop of the wine fall on the floor. "But it is our duty to honor the fallen, by showing even greater courage in battle. Let us all lay ruin upon the enemy! Let us all spread the holy light of the Emperor in every dark corner of the universe. Let us fight with courage and might, and let all our strikes be true! FOR THE THRONE OF TERRA AND THE GOD-EMPEROR OF MANKIND!" With these words the Baalian drained his chalice and threw it on the ground.


OOC: This is some weird Baal tradition. There's only one drop of blood in the wine, so nobody notices it. Because I'm not sure how appropriate this is, if enough people oppose it we might accept that I didn't do it But come on, don't be sissies

Just as the Inquisitor wanted to conclude the briefing he blinked a bit, looking at it and then looked across the briefing table to Nathaniel. "For our fallen Brothers and on that we may succeed in our given task." He said and then drank it all at once, sighing after it and smiling. "I made sure it was properly imported from Baal." Krauz said and stood up, giving Noctis a short meaningful look and nodded at him, then turning back at the Kill-Team.

"We will do it as Stevanus said. Shin, Valonox, Noctis and Nathaniel will head to the Mining City with a Freighter in the hangars to start the investigations, insepctions of defense and start planning out what we can do to improve and what our strategy will be. Stevanus and Tempestus will personally follow me inside the Governor's Palace for the meeting, Rafikiel and Tsu'had will remain outside and can start their inspections already before we finished the meeting, they will arrive among us with the Thunderhawk. Sirius, alone, will make his investigations in the north-west Hive-Agri City and will start planning if and how we possibly could evacuate the population to reduce possible targets and improve our focus of Fortifactions. Planetfall is in an hour."

The Inquisitor walked out of the briefing room, heading for his personal quarters to ready himself in his Power Armor and go a last time over his intel.


Sirius was looking at the wine and then up to Nathaniel. "No offense, Brother, but... I would like to deny this drink, blood is for the Sons of Sanguinius and Mortifactors, not for a Son of Guilliman." He said with his neutral voice, placing the wine gently on the table.

tempestus removed his helm "im going to regret this" as he spoke he pulled a dekantor from a pouch and poured a liquid into tthe blood wine, noctis recognised the smell of fenrisien ale, he then downed it in one

Nathaniel released a quick laugh that sounded rather unnatural.
"There is but a single drop of the holy blood of Sanguinius in you cup, brother Apothecary, you wouldn't even notice it." His smile than faded and the Blood Angel quickly slammed Sirius on the wall, holding his hands away from his weapons. "To deny a gift like this is a disgrace and great dishonor in Baal." for a moment there Lorenzo looked like he is ready to fight his brother. All of a sudden he smiled again. "Then again, we are not on Baal." He released the Apothecary, forcing the chalice from his hand and drinking it. "It would be a waste to leave such fine wine like that." Lorenzo tapped the Son of Guilliman on his shoulder plate and smiled, as if nothing have happened a moment back. Than turned his back on him and prepared to leave the room, as soon as everyone is finished with their drinks.

Shin Zhu too decline the wine politely, saying "no thank you brother, perhaps after we've attained victory. I
actually would like to partake in this tradition and I would also like to extend an invitation to you all to join me for tea. But like I said before, after victory, not before."

With that Shin Zhu excused himself and left for his quarters to don his weapons and armor. After his pre battle mediation he departs for the void docks, looking for his team and thunderhawk.

tempestus walked next to the angel "do not do that again" as he spoke he motined to the apothicary "what would dante think if he saw you"

"Hah, Blood Angels and their liquor. I'll pass cousin, the only wine that I drink is the blood of my enemies" said Chaplain and laughed.

Draining the wine, Tsu'had exclaims. "Excellent wine brother, some day I will share with you a sample of mushroom beer, brewed by the cave dwelling Ingeans back home."

A slight smile appeared on Rafikiel's face - it was as charming as the facial expression of a startled gene stealer.
He took the drink in his hand and said to Nathaniel:

"Brother, I am familiar with this.Years ago I had the honor of fighting along side brothers from your well respected chapter and back then this humble son of Dorn was priveledged to take part in such a ritual before battle."

Then he drank it all up in one sip.

"May the Emperor be with you, brothers."
