"Taros Campaign." Is all that Sirius replied. The Inquisitor took the information in and was letting the Deathwatch team discuss on how they want to address this very problem.
Shin Zhu smiled an appreciation to the Chaplain, but also waited in case anyone wanted to oppose the Chaplain's decision. The Ronin would happily step down from his position if any other members of the team felt that they were better suited for the job, but is more than willing to do his best in regards to leading the second team at the Mining City.
"Than if that is your wish" Chaplain said "I am sending you to the Northern city to look for any Tau signs there. Check if there are any preachers that preach of stepping out of the Imperium, but ah, you said you know these aliens so no advices from me are needed. But I want that when we accept people from that city that they have no Xeno lovers with them, although we will test them again before even letting them take a step into the capital." "Also, if you indeed make a contact, inform us straight away. Perhaps there is a way to parley with this particular Tau force, if indeed there is one heading for this world." He turned around and waited for any questions.
Sirius just gave a plain "Aye" as reply, looking forwards to his plans as ideas are starting to form within him already.
" Understood, Chaplain. It will be as you say." - replied Rafikiel with a firm tone and nodded with his helmet.
A thought came to Shin Zhu, he turns to the Inquisitor. "Inquisitor, what is the historical population's attitude to the wider Imperium and to its local representatives? Has there been anything of note regarding the overall population or the local populations at each of the cities?"
"The world was according to archives colonized somewhat in the 37th Millenium. The first Colonists came from the border worlds of Ultramar. The Colony was established by the cooperation of the Imperial Guard and Adeptus Mechanicus, therefor there was always tension between the two factions. To solve the issue the planet first gained two Governors, one who ran the Mining Cities and was of the Adeptus Mechanicus, a Master of the Forge. And the other was running the Capital as a Governor Militant. Though soon problems occured when the spendings did not went as each party hoped. The Governor wanted to invest more into infrastructure and weaponry, the Mechanicus more in exploration and mining complexes. Eventually revolts broke out between the two parties and the planetary government was relocated and the leadership went to a Lord Governor who had interest in both, military infrastructure as well as making efficient resources. That was at the end of the 37th millenium and was handled since then until the as prior said events occurred and now a Imperial Regent is taking care of the world." As the Inquisitor said all that he was browsing through some papers as if he was looking for something. "Aha!" "There was one thing now that you mention it Shin that occurred.... During the 39th Millenium the Agri-Hive City hybrid was created in the north, close to the ocean. The reason was increased costs of food to import. To build the city as workers the Homeless of the Capital and Mining City were taken, supervised by regular workers and after several years the city was completed and started to do what it was made for, growing food, the harvests were always far under expected numbers and therefor the city costs the world more than it delivers, but what is obvious is that never the whole population that grew there over 2000 years will fit in the Capital."
"This plan is fine by me. Only one...suggestion, brother-commander. The son of Dorn is new to the squad. I think it will be better for him to know us and see our tactics if he was to come with our team preparing the defences of the Mine-city. A Devastator will help us greatly in our task. If your will is to take him with you, than it will be as you wish and I shall object no further. The Emperor bless us all."
