"I see, I hope you do not mind that I tell our view of the events..." Sirius began and sighed, closing his eyes as his mind drifted into memories.

"The Crusade was in vengeance against the Emperor's Children as it was Lucius himself who brought doom upon our world. a few thousand years ago before the 3rd siege of Edo occurred. So the Sons of Guilliman were busy rebuilding the chapter as many companies were completely wiped out and those who survived with only a few. The Vengeance Crusade lasted over 3000 years, aimed to destroy every single Emperor's Children there was. During one of our interrogations with a captured leader we learned of the plans of Lucius to strike Edo and it was a chain of planned events...

As you said, Shin Zhu, he had planned it.... But not just that, even our Crusade he expected and forced us before to work with the Crusaders of Dorn, who became heretic during the Abyssal Crusade, so that the Inquisition would turn against us and execute a Excomunicate Tratioris upon our chapter. But we weren't and so we learned of his true plans. To destroy Edo just as he destroyed Illyrium, our homeworld. The whole chapter fleet headed out for Edo to warn them and protect them. The problem was a Warp Storm that delayed the fleet and instead of arriving prior to the Emperor's Children they instead arrived in the middle of the fight.

With the fear it was too late and with the determination that Edo would not become a second Illyrium they went on an all-or-nothing attack. They had succeeded, with horrible losses, but the crusade was declared to be over with that battle and the Chapter was brought back to Codex Strength again. Lucius... According to chapter records he broke free during a warp travel which was going to a Ordo Hereticus fortress where he should be kept due to his known curse. The warp travel allowed his chaos gods to open a portal within the ship and brought the Daemons of Slaanesh upon the crew and the 3rd company that was escorting him, they were butchered and the ship was never seen again...."

Sirius opened his eyes and looked at Shin.

Shin Zhu studied the apothecary's face as the Son of Guilliman recalled the tale. When the astartes finished talking, Sirius noticed that the Ronin had recorded the Sons of Guilliman's account on a data-slate. "I hope you do not mind if I transmit this data to the Ronin archive back on Edo? We had lacked this information for sometime and it is always within our stormseer's interests to expand the archive and have a more complete set of history records in regards to the Imperium as a whole, but also to events concerning our chapter." He set the data-slate aside.

"A shame about that traitor, and my condolences of your lost company and your ship. But of this catastrophe that overtaken your homeworld, does your chapter not know anything about it?"

Noctis was making his way to the training room when he decided against and then headed to the Chaplain's quarters. Upon arriving he knocked on the door and waited patiently for a response.
