[Landing Zone] Terath gave Chronos a questioning look, but said nothing. He moved towards Observation Tower 1. As he approached it he checked for any unusual signs of hostile presence. He have spent his time in Deathwatch training facility well, preparing to face xeno threat by acquiring knowledge from veterans present at the DW training facility as well as from ancient book and modern dataslates. As he reached the tower, he once again scanned the ground level for anything that could catch his attention. After a minute he climbed the Observation Tower 1 and reported: "Position acquired, OT1 secured, no xeno spotted, West, North-West to North clear and under surveillance". His dull and passionless voice silenced, and then he switched channel. As he was standing on top of the tower he processed in his thoughts the most possible approach that enemy will choose to assault the base. "Azazel confirm eye contact with tower 1, whats your status?"
"Azazel to Terath, Sight of tower 1 confirmed. Holding Position. East to North Forests are under watch no movement to report" he said as he looked around to the Tower 1 giving a raised hand towards Terath, shortly after he turned back to his watch aiming his bolt pistol along the tree line just to reasure himself before speaking to himself leaving the channel open "Its quiet....too quiet, Im not even sure if the Dark Angel could beat the silence..." he said sighing and taking a kneel atop the roof
Henigst answered in an equaly low tone, "i am sure they can control their fear, im certain that most of them will have imotionel repression surgery". Henigst dident fear they would run, for the safest place was in the fortress where they could get evacuated.
[Observation Tower 1] "Azazel this is Terath... I was wondering... you are of the 3rd Company. Your kin were deployed during Third War for Armageddon, as was I. Blood Angels 3rd served under Captain Tycho. A truly glorious figure if you ask me... but it bothers me a little, why haven't we met back there?" Terath didn't stop scanning the jungle even for a second as he spoke, due to his heightened senses further augmented by power armor sensors. "I remember what preceded Orcs in the jungle of Armageddon, a huge wave of fleeing fauna... Here the fauna is either dead and consumed by tyranids or the wave hasn't struck us yet" "In first case we are to expect ambush any second now" Terath kept scanning jungle for any signs of fauna in it, he analyzed the flora condition too (as detailed analysis as a distance observation can be obviously).
Chronos walked in the direction of where he belived the magos would be keeping his bolt pistol at the ready and his hand on his symbol of office "in the emperors name let my soul be a light for the beacons of the lost"
"The war was frantic, I would never remain in one place battle or no battle, During the war was my first decades amongst my Assault brethren, My squad was assigned to support the front.. The Orks were ruthless in their assault....so we were told to be more ruthless, I did not rest, Nor did i cease the swinging of my Swords and the trigger pulling of my bolt pistol. I do not lie to my brothers and i shall not lie to you...I cannot remember the faces i met nor the names i heard, I chose not to...It was my first war and it was the only time i truly learnt that we shall know no fear..." Azazel spoke with a voice of suspense as if he was re-imagining all the carnage of the war, his foot slipping partially causing a small amount of roof tiling to fall to the ground, he shook his head opening a general channel to all "This is Azazel on Tower 4, Nothing to report, Status of all brothers?" he asked with a sigh at the end of the transmission before turning to face Terath from across the compound opening a secure channel "I remember the screams...not the voices, I would choose to swap the two for any price, It would not surprise me if we had met during the war, i went by another name in my squad given to me by my battle brother for my efforts in combat" he said snapping his head back to the treeline "but that is a story for another time" he said finnaly standing up and taking up his watchful eye
"Stay quiet." Isaiah complained, trying to concentrate as nothing but his head moved constantly from right to left, keeping the entire south in check, he narrowed his eyes beneath his helmet, then looked into the sky, back to the ground, then back to the horizon in the distance. No Xeno-Lifeform yet in sight. Perhaps the Emperor had blessed them? OOC: The world in general is full of green stuff, everything looking healthy, there are no Tyranid feeding pillars or anything yet, everything just looks like a happy dandy jungle world.
Duran was silent as he left the thunder hawk his mind on the mission he wondered if the tyranids arrived yet. from the signs around him it was a no. he took a quick pace to the outpost tower 3# he readied his pistol as he made his way up to the tower his eyes scanned the jungle and then to the tarantula turrets that spun around scanning for targets.
