    There are already so many new threads about this and Njord still saw fit to necro his old thread about it.

    Even if it still technically works its a bit wonky to use in the heat of battle. I don't care much about how powerful or weak they make it as long as it's accessable and stops my target shooting me in the face after a roll.

    Nah, as soon as they made the Bash pivotable in 16 it just took some rotating skill. Tact melee was pretty easy, Heavies melee was extremely viable by live standards. Now lock on has instant snap turning so it would be even easier. Maybe even pointless.

    What really broke RPS was some bad advice Alexis and Brent followed through on when they made the Evade Attack a counter for everything. That totally dicked it from 17 on.

    Patch 16 was relatively good, aside from late Bash countering Bash, the silly Evade Attack ranges (28m airborne Fist, scariest Fist) and the slightly ridiculous MoN EHP + heal on hit.

    Now remove Dbash and clang. Especially clang.

    Give Power weapons better AP and more damage in return, so that when they hit, they do a great deal of damage.

  10. Not really. I was spot on in the initial post. In a melee encounter Rolling + shooting easily outperforms Rolling + Melee because BHVR has broken evade attacks and buffed Rolling + Shooting. Addressing this imbalance was as pertinent back in Sept 2016 as it is today. The only difference between then and now being about 20 other various nerfs to melee since then and as many buffs for ranged archetypes.

    The current state of melee reinforces my initial assessment. On any given day rolling + shooting easily defeats most melee mechanics and most melee attack ranges. On any given day rolling + melee gets us killed dozens of times or more because it's such a broken melee mechanic in its current state
