I got schizophrenia when I was 14 or younger, wasn't able to finish high school due to anxiety problems that persisted through my recovery from the schizophrenia, are possibly even made worse by my antipsychotics, and despite anti-anxiety medication my social anxiety problems are still bad enough that I qualify for medical disability because of them. FYI, the Imperium only spans about half the galaxy. My character is on the other half and not particularly near anything Imperial.
Sorry for you, I hadn't tough about this kind of problem. Hope you get better with time. From all the maps I've seen the imperium cover almost all the galaxy, even if they aren't controlling all the planets.
