Ok just got dead shiny dakka gun and zzap gun from crates however the stats are identical to the normal versions whats up with this?
I think they have a lot of hidden bonuses we dont know of yet. Like I know the dead shiny shoota is way more accurate and has less recoil than other shootas. I think the dead shiny daka deffgun has a slightly smaller bloom than base dakka deffgun. And the dead shiny rokkit seems to have less eractic flight paths on its shots effectively extending the range at which it works. As far as kannon and zzap, dunno maybe slightly faster charge ups and cooldowns/reloads.
This kinda stuff is why I wish these unique guns had attachments, just ones we couldn't change, so we could look at them and see what special stuff they bring to the table.
Completely agree (at least for ones that we CAN'T change them on, as Dead Shiny stuff still allows attachments). Even if they aren't attachments we have access to through boxes, they could still be there and just marked so as to not cause confusion or hunting for them in boxes when they don't exist (like the fire ailment).
I'm not sure if the regular rokkit does this but there seems to be some random number of shots that the dead shiny rokkit will travel in a straight line and smack that camping gob in the face. It's splash damage seems to be wider as well.
On Discord a dev said that for melee weapons they get more duability and for ranged weapons it varies, and that the tooltip just doesn't accurately relay the differences to the player. I wouldn't bother unless you absolutely have nothing else to spend 100 LP on.
I will recommend you all to try the ded shiny shoota or the ded shiny big shoota. Those things are NASTY accurate with almost no spread. Put there the mod that reduces the bloom of the weapon and you got the un-orkiest weapon ever.
AND if you struggle with the clangs on the shoota, just put in your loadout the ded shiny knuckles. They give you 1 or 2 more clangs against the enemy melee that can make the fight long enough to make a squadmate aware that you are in danger.
Well, with pugs? Yes. With squadmates? They will help you out and that extra durability may save you from a PF spamming RMB. Also I have faith that the ork playerbase is the best one. We usually always win!
