Every tac-equivalent (that means everyone using knives/knuckles) get their stun duration increased as far as the feedback threads tell. They also mention that everyone gets the ability to further aim the second bash of the d-bash in order to counter siderolls.
Well lads, you'll be happy to know the Dbash on UAT has a new animation, and with it, new travel distance too. After testing it out in a couple of mock duels with @ShoulderMount , it genuinely feels better. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKLjWuPbCR0
I come out of a game against chaos (And maybe a little frustrated, i do apologize.) But with our version of the power ax. My lights did nothing vs power/force swords. against spam, my Dbash did nothing (As is expected currently.) But! My fully charged melee ALSO did nothing?! The tactic currently seems to be melee spam against Ork teams because despite being as strong as Space Marines of either sort, we suck at Melee which is what Orks are known for. I have seen all of one bolter all night in the groups I've wound up in. ONE! And it was a combi-bolter. (Does that count twice-?) Strangely, you don't get this vs Eldar?
Ork Dbash has now the same range, recovery animation still slower but its something. Not 100% reliable, but its the same for all. Also, our fast attack animation, amplitude and range seems now almost equal than SM and CSM. But animations looks totally retarded, like a 5 years old kid trying to use a 10 kg stick to hit a piñata. They should have nerfed other races fast attack spam, not giving orks the same. Feels unnatural for big boyz and heavy armored marines to jump, float and move like that while spamming fast attacks. Not the best solution, but work for balance purposes, D-bash is ok now and we can compete on the retarded heavy weapons fast attack spam game
I wouldn't confuse unsophisticated with slow. Just because the Ork doesn't have technique doesn't mean he's so strong even with a dense, heavy, melee weapon he can't bring down a withering barrage of blows upon his foes. I've always pictured ork melee as relentless, "no time to think, cause he sure ain't" kind of fighting.
