Well from what the Community of relic have spoken, it seems to be just that which I am really sadden by. Seeing as there are a lot more 40K games coming soon by different developers and this MMO in the long works for 2 years (which I am looking forward to playing ). Then again It might not be the end of it for all we know. But from what Relic's Noun said about the developer needing a new deal to GW in order to carry on with it and including Dow3. Then its really down to GW on whether or not to give the go ahead for Relic. Its also a no brainer to know that now Saga have both the rights to make Warhammer Fantasy games and Relic under its ownership. With that in mind GW should extended their partnership to them with the rights to DoW being given back to Relic. (some say Saga have the dawn of war rights already after the THQ auction but its not been officially confirmed by anyone) This may never be happening anytime soon or at all but I and perhaps the fans of warhammer in general would love to see another game from relic. They Really nailed the tone and epic scale of Warhammer 40k. (Company of Heroes 2 is an great game too btw)
I too want to see Borealum in all its glory in Dawn of War 3. To be honest, I felt like the second game in the series was more like Dawn of Skirmish.
Well if they do make another DoW, it would be nice to focus on a chapter other than the blood magpies
You know what I want to see for DoW 3? Horus Heresy. Maybe not as the main campaign maybe just as a dlc but I would love to see the 30k period get some attention because it is so radically different from 40k.
Horus Heresy possible scenarios: Istvaan III betrayal; the initial corruption of the Legions; the Thousand sons debacle; Ullanor; the siege of Terra; Istvaan V; the post-Istvaan V confusion with the Iron Hands, Salamanders and the Raven Guard fighting a brutal hit and run war with the ramshackle remains of their forces; the Dark Angels vs Night Lords conflict; the Iron Warriors and the Emperors Children invading that Eldar world in the Eye of Terror; the Blood Angels vs Daemons; pre-heresy battles vs Eldar, Orks, strange aliens and rouge human factions; the Raven Guard vs the Alpha Legion, and the Word Bearers and World Eaters invasion of Ultramar. The list goes on and on and on.
