This one is more for Eldar fans (Marines can rejoice per usual at the suffering of other factions) Did you pay attention to the Dire Avenger count per squad to Tactical Marines? 6 Avengers to 5 Tacticals. That means the Devs have right away went to the "MARINES MOAR LEET" route, and shows a heavy bias to the marines (It doesn't help that the first gameplay is just Eldar dying in droves like some stupid marine book) Now, we all know Eldar are not a horde army (Despite some degenerates' insistance) but it will seem we are forced to be fodder for Marines, and I am going to assume even Eldar victories will have more Eldar dead than marines, just like the cancer that was Dawn of War 2. I am going to seriously hold back my money from this game, Dawn of War 2 was already taking a big dump on all Eldar with the silly lore and the horde like faction that can outnumber Nids/Orks. Because Dire Avengers should be a 1.1 ratio with Tactical Marines.. But Relic is pretty much only having a hard-on for their precious blood ravens. Oh, and ONE hero able to do that - any faction - is just outright stupid, no way can one hero stand up to any other faction in such number. Freakin' Gaybriel. - Some VERY salty Eldar.
Relax about Dow III, we saw pre-alpha gameplay. The video was here to show us the graphics, nothing else actually. I won't be surprised to see the numbers changed at the release. And Dow II was more lore-friendly than Dow I regarding the eldar.
My only complaint is the base building. Why wouldn't I just deepstrike in my entire force rather than build the infrastructure to produce new units at the site of an enormous battle? It makes no sense to me. 40k is showing up with your force and beating the enemy through tactics. This is starting to look like a simple variant of Starcraft (which is hilarious given the history).
