True, but still... As for why the Blood Ravens are rolling around with knights, it's likely to be due to one of the following factors; a) It's the Blood Ravens. If the Mechanicus didn't nail their Titans to the floor, the Blood Ravens will most likely have nicked them. b) Rule of Cool. New incarnations of a series must outdo all previous incarnations, Hollywood says so. So Titans. Freaking Titans. In Space! Screw the lore. Give me Space Titans! c) Rule of Stupidity. This is Relic. Relic who brought us Indrick Boreale and his masterful plan to defend a mountainous chokepoint...from orbit...by dropping small numbers of astartes into a vast all-conquering army. Relic who brought us attacking Titan equivalents with chainswords in the trailer (good luck guys). The Blood Raven who quietly lets said Titan equivalent crush him to death at the end wasn't being heroic, he just couldn't bear to carry on any more when given a chance to stand still and die rather than continue to face down such tyrannical idiocy from his own side. Why else was he so damn happy about it?
Now that would be fun. Like Squad Tarkus in DoW2 making short teleports during combat to get into powerfist range, stunning everyone around... good times. Or just, you know, Gabe making an oath with a House between Retribution and DoW3... Some Knights following a chapter or company around because of an old vow isn't that uncommon I'm sure.
Ah, but it'd be far harder to gently tease Relic if I gave them the benefit of the doubt when it came to their decisions. Spess Mehreens! We fight for the Emprah!
I just hope Force Commander Hairgel makes an appearance. We need his hairesy in these troubling times.
Speaking of DoW 2 characters, Tarkus better return. I want to say the same about Avitus, but he is the canon traitor.
