Sort of disappointed the cover system is moving away from the more in-depth format, but we'll see if that decision complements the final playstyle. My worry is if the multiplayer meta is back to classic RTS for glory zerg out units at the opponent. If I want to build up eco and throw increasingly powerful legions at my enemy we have UA. Really curious as to what DoW3 will bring to the table in terms of game design and overall playstyle. Relic have always been good for innovation and a willingness to experiment with their games. Lets hope that being sold to SEGA hasn't stifled that creativity.
Sounds like they want a more epic big battle style. The cover change allows you to focus more on other aspects of the battle. Trying to position a massive army behind barrels and sand bags would be absurd. By the time you finished the battle would be over or a vehicle will just destroy all the cover anyway.
Just got the DoW 3 PC Gamer Magazine, here are some images. Going to get a video up ASAP! http://imgur.com/a/HcZDg Edit: HA GRIG! Video is live. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYvgk6JVsNM
There doesn't seem to be much new information. A few new screenshots (that Space Marine base actually looks pretty cool), and that's about it. Thank you for going out of your way to get the magazine, though!
Vehicle pad looks the same as in DoW 1. EDIT: Wait, "...his somersaulting overhead smash can propel him up cliffs..." Damnit, C.S. Goto is writing the story....
