Sure, they already track mouse cursor to some extent. I was just wondering whether those sharp turns upon clicking LMB are an intended feature or a bug - after all that makes them *much* more accurate (and allows the projectiles to make hoops in the air etc.).
I am quite certain that is a bug. Strangely enough I have managed to fire two Starshot Missiles, where the first one went haywire after the second one were fired, but when the second missile hit the target the first one struck down from the heavens at my cursors target A bit like a double strike.
The Starshot should be fire-and-forget shots with a moderate/high travel speed and low AoE. The accuracy of the weapon and speed of the projectiles should allow for decent player accuracy with the weapon, allowing them to rapidly fire off a series of small missiles to destroy an enemy vehicle without having to stand there for several seconds as they guide their shot. It should take more Starshot missiles than it takes Lascannon shots to destroy the same vehicle. For example: Starshot vs Rhino Rear: 15 Shots Lascannon vs Rhino Rear: 5 Shots Starshot vs Rhino Side/Front: 18 Shots Lascannon vs Rhino Side/Front: 6 Shots
I still absolutely hate the Reaper Launcher. It feels bad. At this point once they add mortar arcing guides to the other launcher I'll probably use that instead of a Launcher whenever I want something that isn't Shuriken Cannon.
Yeah. Starshot is decent, but starswarm is horrible. I charged up 5 rounds and shot at a Loota from 40m and didn't kill him. Why is it so much weaker than a PC? It takes 3-4 snap fire rockets to down anyone.
Yep because other designs would result in a worse game. Agreed. The arc on the shots needs to be toned down and the fire rate increased, while the Starswarm Missiles in particular should have no or little AoE. It should be an accurate weapon with fairly fast projectiles so it can work more appropriately as a direct hit weapon than a splash one.
