Just because someone plays a melee class, doesn't mean they are excused from lackig even the most basic spatial awareness.

If you ran past a reaper and saw plasma being launched at a doorway or a chokepoint, then there might be a tiny, minuscule, shred of a chance that the plasma will keep flying and it might be just a little bit inconvenient if you get in the way.

Add to that the usual performance and lag that the game operates at and it just might be that even an omniscient farseer, that every Dark Reaper has to be to actually land that plasma on the enemy given the current state of implementation for our weapons, may just be unable to course correct on account of you feeling uncomfortably distant from the approaching enemy and ever eager to greet them past the doorway.

You're the one shooting, you're the one to look at what you're shooting at. The guy engaged in melee cannot know where you are or what you are going to do.

Oh, expect of course in the one in a million situation where the said guy actually runs past you...

Fairer to say 'don't engage on an enemy when a heavy-weapon-using ally is already firing on them.' That happens pretty often.

You have to stay with friends, it just doesn't work alone till you understand what you can get away with. The speed item is very helpful but still won't save you from melee but they can help you run away if you see them coming in time.

  5. JPA is yours pain in wellknown place. Even shieldbro can be shredded with full volley until overheat. If doesnot taking cover or setting your weapon on handrail just sit down to minimize accuracy lost and your own hitbox

I've been playing a reaper of late, most of the time with the shuriken (sp) cannon or the missile launcher for AT reasons. You CAN wade in and assault with the SC but you need to have a pretty good grasp on aiming in this game. I've found the SC is pure beauty at aiming for the face and getting quick kills. With the aid of a lock I've cleared entire rooms. ( Lots of hours playing orks with their mule kicking ranged weapons have helped a great deal in getting a handle on high recoil aiming ). To deal with shield bro's...aim at their feet...yes it works, yes it makes a difference and you won't burn through ammo till you over heat to take them down.

I didn't care much for the TL much (as much as it is about the orkiest weapon Eldar have) far too many times I'd fire a volley only to have a team mate run through it's path and get turned into pudding. If you dig it, then roll with it. Pretty much all the advice folks haven given here rings true. Have fun.
