Thanks to everyone for checking the video out...even you guys who still dissent and bash my skill, my opponents skill, etc. it's motivational Point of the video is an example from everyday gameplay by me (an average player) who can kill other average (Or as you call them "bad") shield bros to combat the massive misinformation in the threads about them. Also I welcome any attempt at chainsword enemas because I will adapt to your strategy to fight you and not come to the forums empty handed while shouting to the heavens to nerf your chainsword o.< The only thing I need to prove and disprove if Shield Bro is OP is when I feel like I cannot win against them at all AND when the data confirms my opinion to clear any bias I secretly harbor. As for the power attack stun that's not a bug, that was a design decision and now the meta will change. Likely to kick or power attack and cycle vs Kick and power attack until target is dead, not that hard to adapt if the mind is willing.
Was just stating the facts, Jack! Wasn't trying to say you were bad just that beating up people who don't understand melee doesn't prove much about any class. I mean when MoN had tons of health you could of stun locked them to death too! Man I wonder if someone made a video of stun locking them to death over and over they would of never nerfed them. ------- DISCLAIMER ------- I in no way endorse that shield bro is OP just obnoxious and in need of balancing that will probably happen later down the line. It's not a big deal at this point in time.
When my chainsword breaks a dbash (and when it happens to me) it's a bug. Chain staggering too is a bug as it making it so your opponent can't move doesn't equate to skill. It's cheesey as hell. Call it a nerf if you want, stagger lock has no business in a skill based game. But with the bug or without it, the Dokta shall fill the prescription
Boy the "Shieldbro is OP" crowd certainly quieted down since the latest videos showing just how easy the "bros" are to defeat. These videos are all footage PRIOR to the 12 May update. If I might add another video. I call it the "Shield bro smoothie- assembly line". Just takes a bit of imagination and tackling the task at hand with a bit of forethought and planning. Though this technique doesn't work every time, it's one technique among many of defeating a shield wielding opponent. I did it twice in a row because the opportunity presented itself but more importantly to prove a point. If you're standing there flatfooted like a knuckle dragging neanderthal firing away at the shield and crying that the shieldbro wont die, well no fucking shit they wont die, think outside the box and use every single tool at your disposal. "2 Shield bro slushies comin right up".
Njord, everybody knows you can deal even with an op class if you try harder and especially if you have high fps and good internet connection but that's not the point. The point is the same situation was with MoN before the patch and he got nerfed anyway. This is all about this little inequality in approach to the problem by the devs, not the ways in which a given class can be dealt with or not, get it?
While you and I understand that fact, many in the community do not. They come screaming "_____ is OP" and demand "____" gets nerfed. I'm simply shedding light on the fact that in this case "____" is in fact NOT OP and that with a little ingenuity and minimal effort the mountain becomes a mole hill.
